"Cocoon 

Have you ever felt like wrapping a cocoon around you and telling the world to 'go away'? Most of us have felt like that at some time in our lives. It is normal to want to be in a protected space, a safe place away from the problems and cares of the world. When we are threatened or we are stressed or overly physically challenged, the need is there and definitely the desire, but what happens when we cannot find the time or environment to build that cocoon? How do we survive the stresses and how do we feel safe? It is important to use the mind, to practice with it as one would do with any skill. Use the mind to mentally make a cocoon. It may be that you have only a few seconds or moments to do this, yet it will help. Learn to draw inward, to spin an invisible cocoon around you, to create a safe place. If you can learn to use your imagination to accomplish this, you will find that when stressed you can take refuge in this cocoon. Use whatever works as a boundary, it does not have to be an actual imaginary cocoon. Perhaps a fence or a place in nature or a particular room, bring it into your reality and use that to renew yourself within your own cocoon.
