ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER

Disclaimer: These links are placed, not with the intent of assigning a tiered rank, but rather to make my page more cohesive and graphically pleasing. Most sites featured here are the hard work of people I know - but, I hasten to add, they all stand on their own merit too. Don't be surprised if the order or nature of the links change once in a while - I have a rotation policy which removes pages that haven't been updated in a while.

Wendy's Homepage

Wendy updated her webpage so that it not only looks tres chic, but also fires a few pointed barbs at unpresuming victims such as myself. Being the rogue that I am, I thought that I'd ante up the stakes a little... so here goes... Wendy's page is a magnificent whirpool of words and witticisms, one which conveniently misleads the fact that her university degree leaves her way too much time on her hands. In-between reading her beautiful text, the webthingies link will have you laughing uproariously in your seat; the Sailor Moon section will have you weeping at her obsession; the javascript will have you marvelling at her unparalleled design; and the links page will take you back to my site for a much-needed dose of reality. *grin* To peruse her her fortune city mirror site, follow this link.

DK1098's Homepage

Smooth. Elegant. Java-enhanced. All these words flash into mind as soon as I load up Daniel's incredibly visual homepage, a stylish website that makes me draw ugly step-child analogies for my own. *grin* Yeah, it's that good. Although I'm not up to par on my anime references (is that a City Hunter image he's used for background?), I do know that there's plenty for everyone to go around - sites you can send your friends to, great resource links, a little info on Daniel himself and tons more. Not to mention Daniel's generous offer to help others spice up their sites with java. Just plain all-around cool.

Shriek

A simple, stylish and crazy world, devoted to all of Grace's interests and hobbies. I'd agree with Wendy's funny, if rather cruel observation (which you can find on her own links page), except that it would probably result in me getting a severe beating from Grace who, in my humble opinion, is the most dangerous female on this big blue earth and who would just as easily end my lovable little existence as look at me. *shrug* It takes all types, I guess. But just for the record, I won't agree with Wendy. At least, not publicly. (By the way, this second link will take you to an amalgam of Grace's interests and hobbies).

Carmen's Homepage

Despite being inundated with work and extracurricular activities, Carmen still manages to update her homepage every once in a while. Her taste runs towards the musical (this is probably the only site you'll ever find Arkana and Custard rubbing shoulders with Mozart) and the scientific. Give it a try - you might be pleasantly surprised. And be sure to compliment her on the rotating molecule; Carmen's kinda proud of that too. *grin*

I've suddenly come to a momentous realization: I'm surrounded by talent. Unlike my own site, most everything on Bruno's page has his own personal touch. His graphical designs are innovative, his text simple but pleasing to the eye. And rest assured, his expertise on the fields that he has chosen - namely diving and driving - are unparalleled. The latest incarnation of Bruno's page sports frames, a new black-and-red motif and many new atmospheric enhancements. In particular, look at his Trip Updates for a surprisingly warm and honest diary approach. Bruno's also recently expanded his interests to include some pretty amazing post-modern, neo-scientific parables. Being the modest guy that he is, he calls them poems.

Class of 97 Homepage

After a long and protracted absence, Jon's tribute to the best graduating class of the world returns. The visual design is worth admission alone (just kidding. Merlin doesn't charge admission. But if his site continues to look this good, he might as well). Well worth checking out for familiar faces. Similarly, kudos go out to Max Edleson for providing Jon with the necessary webspace. If you're at all interested in seeing what Stanford University can do to a JIS graduate, check out Max's own homepage.

The Death Clock

Okay, I'll admit it. One of the reasons I put up this link was so that I could show off this amazing picture. Another reason was because I've always seen life as a trojan horse, a gift given freely then taken back one day at a time. Everything we see with our eyes is dying by inches. And nothing I've found on the Net hammers in this fact as strongly as The Death Clock webpage, where fate and destiny are entertwined with the click of a button.

By the way, for those of you interested and who know what I'm talking about, they gave me a generous life span of fifty-five more years (Tuesday, October 7, 2053); a conservative one of forty-three (Saturday, September 14, 2041); and a very tightly-cubed reckless age of eighteen more (Thursday, October 6, 2016). I actually like the last one the best; it's a somewhat surreal notion to think that you've lived half your life already.

The Hamid Page

What can I say that would do this site justice? It's chock full of the good stuff - sweet pics and JIS-related links. I mean, I missed Jakarta life before, but once I clicked on Ali's page, I got suckered in with a low left hook. Get ready for tha' fun times.

Lair of the Greatblackbat

Rhiannon's page - a zest-filled bullet of a statement, designed to snare you into her frenzied web of puns, pictures and perdicious bats. Though I can't say her stuff is exactly to my tastes - on most days, anyway - it still gets my award for most-improved homepage I've seen. This girl learns HTML at an astronomical rate. Look for occasional updates.

David's Homepage

David's another good friend who has made the jump to HTML. The best part about David's page is that his passion for life inevitably seeps into his work. The pictures are large and interesting; the comments varied and wonderful. The numerous animated pics alone are guaranteed to have you bursting out loud with laughter - exactly as David intended. This page is the epitome of student idealism, mixed in with a healthy dose of fresh humor. Come on in and watch the sparks fly.

This site has a weekly listing of the top box-office sellers in America, as well as a comprehensive archive and linked reviews. A great place to find out which films are doing well and which are bombing big-time.

Gamespot

An extremely informative site, chock-full to the brim with information on the latest computer games. The reviews are quite reliable in my experience, done as they are by the same professionals responsible for Computer Gaming World Magazine. It's updated weekly as far as I can tell, so be sure to check back often.
