History

This ride launches its riders up 160 feet in three seconds. Maximum speed is 45 mph, which is reached in less than 1 second. It can carry 24 riders. The Detonator was the first ever twin tower space shot. This ride is located in the Americana secction

Home

The Monsoon is one of Worlds of Fun's water rides. It lifts riders up a fifty foot lift hill and then plunges them back to the ground at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. If you sit in the back you can feel a lot of "air time." This ride can serve as many as 1600 guests per hour. Manufactured by Intamin company of Switzerland, it sits in a 425,000 gallon lagoon. This ride is located in the Africa section

Monsoon

Fury of the Nile

This is another of Worlds of Fun's water rides. It is one of the most loved rides in the park.It is produced by intamin as is the Monsoon. This is a river raft ride where you can reach speeds of around 35 mph. It takes you on a four and a half minute journey through 850,000 gallons of waves, geyser's, and even waterfalls. This ride is located in the African section.

Viking Voyager

The Viking Voyager is a very loved ride at Worlds of Fun. It was one of the original rides built in 1973. It is yet another water ride. This one is a flume ride. It is located in the Scandinavian section of the park.

Cyclone Sam's

This ride was added in 1995 as the only ride at Worlds of Fun that is completely inside. It simulates being in the middle of a tornado.This ride is in a disk shape . Riders begin to spin in a circle. Then the entire disk starts rolling up and down. This is all happening in the dark. Fans create large wind as a strobe light is meant to simulate lightning. All in all it is a fun ride with a pretty short (most of the time) line. This ride is located in the Americana section of the park.

Omegatron

This ride is also known as the hammers. It has two seating sections. It starts by gently rocking riders forwards, then backwards, then forwards, then backwards, gradualing increasing in height, until the towers finally complete a full circle. This ride is located in Americana.

This is just your everyday go-karts. They are located where the Americana entrance used to be. Like the Rip cord these require an extra charge of $5 once you have already entered the park. This ride is located in the Americana section.

Grand Prix Raceway

The Skyliner is the Ferris wheel at Worlds of Fun. It is 60 feet tall. It is a usual ferris wheel. This ride is located in the Americana secction of the park.

Railroad

The Worlds of Fun railroad is a coarse over a mile long that takes you around the park. It is really pretty at night when you can go and see all of the lights on the rides. The engine of the train is named Eli. This ride is located in the Americana section
