On November 11 (Veterans Day) at 11:00 PM, all gun owners should fire a warning shot as a signal that armed Americans are willing to pull the trigger today no less than the veterans of yesteryear.

A warship will fire a shot across the bow, a rattlesnake will sound a warning...these warnings are never ignored. It is time to remind our fellow Americans and those politicians that continue to ignore and desecrate the Bill of Rights that there are still those in this country who support the Second Amendment, in its unadulterated version..."the right of the people, to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed"...despite recent attacks on its meaning and "interpretation".

Our Founding Fathers intended the Second Amendment to be used to protect the entire Bill of Rights...when it is gone, or forgotten, the entire Bill of Rights is jeopardized.

Here is an idea that will let gun owners and supporters across America express themselves in solidarity at home, without travel, without expenses, individually, but together.

Those who cannot safely or legally fire live ammo should fire a blank. If a blank is illegal, then use a firecracker. If firecrackers are illegal, use your imagination...bang a cookpot lid with a metal spoon...or, travel to a location outside your city limits where firing a gun is not "illegal". (NOTE: We believe, of course, that any law which infringes on a person's right to keep and bear arms is, in itself, unconstitutional and therefore illegal. However, the purpose of the Warning Shot action is NOT to get participants arrested for breaking unconstitiutional laws.) Liberty Activists expect that all gunowners will take proper safety precautions to ensure that no injuries result, and Liberty Activists is not liable for any actions or injuries resulting from this action.

Gunshops are urged to have a special sale on rounds of blank ammo.

THINGS TO DO TO PUBLICIZE THE WARNING SHOT:

Write a letter to the editor of your local paper and call radio talk shows to ensure the local populace to expect the noise and not fear that WWWIII has started.

Print out this page and distribute it to gunshops and local gun clubs.
