This quote really made me think the first time I read it. It has
stayed with me ever since.
It happens slowly folks, little by little,
so that it isn't really noticed in the beginning. And always done
under the guise of what is "best for the people and the country".
Is it starting to happen here? I think so, in fact I'd almost bet
on it. Don't just look at things on the surface, really examine
things and think critically about all the issues.
If one right is taken away others can get taken
away just as easily. Think, read and evaluate and look at all aspects
of something before you render your consent or agreement, ESPECIALLY to
something that infringes on or takes away a right that was previously granted.
Remember, you may not need that right today, or even tomorrow because you
don't own a gun, or because you haven't committed a crime but if you allow
those rights to be taken away now, the ones that benefit even law abiding
citizens can also be taken away.
