Coronitas You Haven't Understood? Coronitas

Due to the belief that the Spanish society is being robbed of the possibility for a profound debate about the form of government in this country (in other words, the current parliamentary monarchy), these pages hope to be a forum for discussion about the subject.

From an open and plural (and perhaps even spirit lifting) perspective we hope to offer and receive all types of opinions. We believe that the popularization of a medium so intrinsically libertarian as Internet may help us to avoid the distortions and the deliberate lack of debate and opinion offered by the traditional channels of information.

These pages make a small tour of the most recent history of Spain, especially attentive to the circumstances which have caused this country to be a parliamentary monarchy rather than a republic. It bases itself upon history and sociology and, with a certain dose of humor, tries to bring itself closer to the other forms of government in the world, focusing particularly upon still existing monarchies. Finally, it proposes a series of links and an adequate bibliography.

If the subject interests you but you haven't mastered the language of Cervantes, send us a letter with you opinion (in English, French or any other language, we'll figure it out somehow). If your opinion is of interest we'll include it in our "Letters to the Editor". Thank you.
