St Kilda East.I broke a mirror today. I own a black cat. I dressed in all black. I walked under a ladder. (Not realising that I did, until I had actually walked under it) But I still feel lucky. I figure that Friday the 13th is already considered to be bad, so when bad things (well perceived as bad) happen, they only serve to cancel out the badness of the day. (- + - = +)
I am the office gossip. Not malicious gossip, more a source of information. I don't gossip about relationships, or personal problems, looks, fashion or dress sense. I don't spread gossip per say. I merely gather information and pass it on. Our company is very strange, being divided between two physical spaces a black hole of communication is in existence between them and us. There is also the differentiation between the executive, managerial, office staff, and finally the phone room staff. Information tends not to travel between the groups, and when something happens it takes awhile to filter down.
I merely act as a gateway. People now come to me for information, and come to me with information. This is again a want based achievement. I really don't like to be on the outer, and I find it difficult to just let things pass, so always having "the information", means that I am never in this position. It has got to the point now where it is self perpetuating, I don't even have to do anything anymore, it just carries on by itself.
I love it.
Enough now. I have to go, graveyard tonight. 97 hours worked this past two week pay period. I am still trying to crack the 100 hours. But there are many more weeks of work to come. I will be out of this irritating "achievement" and "I am" phase soon, it never lasts. I also have been working pretty flat out, and nothing much else in happening. I am going out tomorrow night to see Quadrazine at the Price of Wales, can't wait.
