*-*My Físhíñg Pàgê*-*

As many of you may or may not know, I LOVE Fishing. It's one of my Favorite Sports/Hobbies which I am active in nearly all year round. However, this entire past summer I only went a half a dozen times, due to my Addiction to IRC. I am an avid flyfisher as spin fisher, also, I am active in my Fly Fishing Club, the BC Fly Fishers, which is a local group of people, all ages who gather each month and talk about( and sometimes we even get to go!) Fishing. More info about my club is at the bottom. This paragraph is about me. :o) So anyways, I began fishing about 4 years ago, spinfishing at a local pond near my close to where I live.
Most of the time in the summer I'm out there ( geeze, not this past summer :o( ) fishing for my favorite species, the Largemouth Bass. Now, I'm not this big science guy on fish, so I'm not gunna bore you with a long story about there life cycle or habitat and so on...I could, but then you'd be tempted to just scroll on down past this. :o) Oh well..let me move on to what I fish with.

*-*My Tackle Section*-*

Well, over a year ago, I worked at Dick's Clothing and Sporting Good's, a large sporting chain store here in New York and many other states in our great country..New England and now moving down south and expanding west! I was a salesman in the Fishing/tackle/Camping/Watersports/boating Department there in Sales. I was able to learn alot about sales, and also fishing itself. This allowed me to test and try out many new tackle that is out on the market, and also learn from other fellow fishermen some tips and other hints.
I finally purchased a Zebco Quantum SX 1 Spinning Reel and a Quantum QXLS 5'6" Spinning Rod, which over a two month period was able to match together perfectly. This is an UltraLight Spinning combo and, being the person who enjoy's challenges, I fish it with 2lb line, sometime moving to 4lb for larger fish. I love fishing with small pound line for big, and even small fish, like bluegills and sunnies.

Here in New York, summer doesn't last long, as many know and unfortunately, when the cold wind blows, snow covers our streets, and ice covers our lakes and ponds, we have a few choices:
Well, if you may have guess, I've choosen #4 and #5. Yuppers, I got myself a nice Ice tent from my store, a few good ice lures, 2 5Gal. buckets, an Auger, and a good Friend(Stefan) and his Son(Steve) who I enjoy fishing, both summer and winter with them. Since I haven't heard from the old guy in a while ( :o) ) , I've not gone fishing in a LONG time..We're talking 4, maybe 5 months. *Hint*Hint* So, back to icefishing...well, I've been doing this cold sport for 2 years now, and in all that time only managed to catch 3 colds and 1 crappie. As for #5., I've found this great sport and if I'm lucky and if I have money, I'll be playing it whenever I can.

The place I go mostly here in New York is Whitney Point Res. located in Whitney Point, NY, about 25 minutes north of Binghamton. This is where, every year, the annual Crappie Derby is held. It's very popular here and I've been to it every year since I've gotten into it, now, if u can't figure that out, it's only 2 times :oP

I've Decided to add in some links to other fishing pages...these will be updated asap:
