Russian Names and their Nicknames

This page will help you to learn some Russian names with their nicknames. In Russian the nicknames are just the shorter versions of the full names. Still, when seen at first, they could be quite confusing. They work the same way as in English, for example: Michael = Mike, Richard = Rick, Elizabeth = Beth or Liz, etc. If the name you are looking for is not here, let me know. Note: while pronouncing the names stress the underlined vowel (sound). There is also a pronunciation guide (according to the English grammar rules) in the right column for your convenience.
Are you ready to pick a name for your child? :-)
