Information on the Phyre Phaeries

          The head of the Phaery realm is the Queen. She does not have any children as a rule; rarely does she ever find a life partner, but always has several suitors. Her successor is determined by her rule, and the successor is always female.

          Phoenix Bonds
          As a rule, a Phaery always bonds with a Phoenix, sometimes known as a firebird. Phoenixes breathe fire and their wings flame when they fly. Their eyes are bright red or orange, as are their feathers. Their talons burn red when they hunt, and not only slice but sear the flesh of any animal they catch.
          They are perfect companions to the Phaeries, because the Phaeries as well are closely linked with fire. The bond itself is much like the AnimalBond between the human races and other animals.

          Tree Homes
          Phyre Phaeries live in trees. Because the Phaeries themselves are so small, they burrow holes and tunnels into the tree they've chosen and make their home there. This, however, does not hurt the tree because of the Phaeries' spells put on the tree to keep it alive while there are still Phaeries living in it. Trees in the cities and sometimes in the villages house as many as fifty families of Phaeries, much like an apartment building. The trees belonging to no village or city usually house only one family.
