Seeking the Character of Jesus
Dear Lord Jesus:
- By the power of Your spirit,
- please flood and saturate my life.
Take full charge of my mind, my emotions, my will.

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Turn your eyes upon Jesus.
- Look full in His wonderful face,
- and the things of earth will grow strangely dim
- in the light of His glory and grace.
Ephesians 1:17-23
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,
- the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of
- wisdom and revelation, so that you may know
- him better.
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be
- enlightened in order that you may know the hope
- to which He has called you, the riches of His
- glorious inheritance in the saints, and His
- incomparably great power for us who believe.
That power is like the working of His mighty strength,
- which he exerted in Christ when He raised Him
- from the dead and seated Him at His right hand
- in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and
- authority, power and dominion, and every title
- that can be given, not only in the present age
- but also in the one to come.
And God placed all things under His feet and appointed
- Him to be head over everything for the church,
- which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills
- everything in every way.
Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great
- cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that
- hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and
- let us run with perseverance the race marked out
- for us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter
- of our faith, Who for the joy set before him
- endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down
- at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider Him who endured such opposition from
- sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and
- lose heart.
