Prayer of Commitment

and Confession

Dear Heavenly Father:
I acknowledge You as Almighty God
and come today to worship you.
Abba, I praise Your love for me
for as much as You have to do
You work in my life too.
Help me to count all my blessings,
to love You and obey You in all
that I say and all that I do.

Thank You for Your Son, Jesus.
I acknowledge You, Jesus,
as my personal Savior.
I ask for Your guidance
to grow in Your ways.
But I can't do Your will, Lord,
unless my heart is clean.
So I confess my sins and admit my faults.
1st John 1:9 says if I confess my sins
You are faithful and just and will
forgive me and purify me
from all unrighteousness.
So let the Holy Spirit now bring to mind
my sins of comission and omission
that I might confess them before You.

SILENT PRAYER

Have mercy on me, Father,
according to Your loving kindness.
Blot out my sins and transgressions
according to Your tender mercies.
Creat in me a clean heart, O Lord,
and renew a right spirit within.
I ask Your forgiveness, Christ Jesus,
and submit again to Your will.
Help me to glorify You in all I say
and in all I do. Amen.

Glorify Thy Name

Father, we love You; we worship and adore You.
Glorify Thy Name in all the earth.
Glorify Thy Name. Glorify Thy Name.
Glorify Thy Name in all the earth.

Jesus, we love You; we worship and adore You.
Glorify Thy Name in all the earth.
Glorify Thy Name. Glorify Thy Name.
Glorify Thy Name in all the earth.

Spirit, we love You; we worship and adore You.
Glorify Thy Name in all the earth.
Glorify Thy Name. Glorify Thy Name.
Glorify Thy Name in all the earth.

Sword of the Spirit Scripture

1st John 1:5-10

This is the message we have heard from Him
and declare to you: God is light;
in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him
yet walk in the darkness, we lie
and do not live by the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, His Son,
purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive
ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful
and just and will forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness.
If we claim we have not sinned,
we make Him out to be a liar
and His word has no place in our lives.
