A WAKE UP CALL

I want to warn, both mom and dad
This will effect, your daughter or lad.
Do they ever see you, when you're angry or mad
You are their teachers....is that good or bad?

Children will learn, by your actions and speech.
Are you an example, of what you want preached?
Do your words need cleaning, with soap and bleach?
They wil copy from you, everything that you teach.

Look at your child and what do you see?
Can you accept it as a reflection of you?
Are you proud, of what they will be?
That is your report card....can this be true?

I hope you recieved a very high grade,
It's up to you, on the foundation you laid.
It's not important how much money you made,
All that matters....is that you prayed.

You can save them some heartaches and many tears
And your children will thank you in later years,
For building character and staying near
As Godly parents who they hold dear.
