This was a pic of Lister driving my car to the airport on the day that he was
going home with Terri. Too cute, huh?

Tomorrow is Lister's
first birthday. His foster family has been thinking
about him all week and he'll definitely be in our minds and hearts tomorrow.
Hope our gift arrives in time. We'll be anxiously awaiting pics of the
birthday boy and his adoptive family.
Happy Birthday Lister, my love!

I want to thank Everyone that has sent kind words, thoughts, and prayers to
my family. There have just been too many to respond to individually.
Lister and Bumper's ceremony was short, but very nice. There is a grassy
area with soft sloping hills that the dogs love to run over near a covered
bridge at a park nearby, "Lake of the Woods" From the top of the hill I let
our two angels run with the wind. We then sat on the Covered Bridge and
passed Lister stories between us. We found some smiles, and some laughs, and
of course tears. It was a very nice good bye. My boys did so good, with
Tommy doing most of the talking. I found some things out I didnt know.
Tommy then took one of Lister's collar's and attached it to the bridge, I
really doubt anyone will leave it there, but I thought it was a very sweet
gesture from a nine year old.
Terri
Thank You from Terri

Sadly Lister is no longer with us. Those of us involved with his rescue
were notified by his owner on Nov 5 that he had been found missing from an
outside pen where he was placed Halloween night with another rescue Min
Pin.We immediately began efforts to aid in the search but were notified the
following day that they had been found with Lister dead and the other
barely alive.Although we had been told that all efforts to find them had
been employed we also discovered that neither the shelters in the area nor
the police had been notified. IMPS has since tried to verify the cause of
death or receive a death certificate in order to close the books and deal
with our pain but have not been successful. We believe that he may have been
given away or sold as the home failed to produce any documentation of his
death.

Final Words on Lister Orion Saluki

This was a one in a million shot of bad luck and Lister was and remains the
driving force behind IMPS. He will always live in our hearts as we go on
helping Min Pins who need us.
