Hi, My name is Barbara and I am in my 50`s. I`ve been married to my husband, De, since July of 1967. It was the month of September 1998, that we decided to get a computer. It was my husband who encouraged me to learn how to use it. He used a computer at work and was used to it, so I knew I had a lot to learn. The only thing I knew about a "mouse" was that it had four tiny legs and a long tail. Well, I have learned a lot since then and I am still learning.
Our family of 4 moved to Kansas in January of 1980. Our son, David, was 9 and our daughter, Christine, was 4. We knew that this big move would change our life and indeed it did. Since my husband and I grew up in Northern Pennyslvania, where there are numerous trees and mountains, we knew that Kansas would be very different. We liked the fact that the summers are longer here and have lots of sunshiny days. We do get snow here but it is nothing like Pennsylvania`s snowfall.
Those years went by very quickly. Our children are both married now and we have two granddaughters, Annie and Jillian.
I could write a book about my family but I don`t want to bore you with all the details. Instead, I want to share with you a few of my favorite family photos.
