Elizabeth Irene MURPHY was born July 7, 1818 in Kentucky and died July 13, 1884 in Rock Bluff Community, Comanche Co., Texas. She is buried in the Rock Bluff Cemetery. She married David SKAGGS January 21, 1837 in Green Co., Kentucky.

NOTE: About 1848 Elizabeth & David moved from Green Co.,
Kentucky to Osage Co., Missouri. They were there in the
1850 Census. Then when Maries Co., Missouri was created
from Osage they show up in the 1860 Census for Maries Co.
Missouri. Leaving Maries Co., Missouri around 1865 and
moving to Maysville, Benton Co., Arkansas. They are there
for the 1870 census. David dies and is buried in the
Maysville Cemetery. Elizabeth is in the 1880 Census for
Benton Co., Arkansas with son Joseph P. SKAGGS and grand-
son, Lunsford SKAGGS. They left Benton Co., Arkansas after
the 1880 census and moved to the Rock Bluff Community.
Elizabeth son William Julius SKAGGS lived in the Rock
Bluff Community.
