Hi I'm Merry =)

Hey from South Ga. My name is Marilyn but everyone calls me Merry. I am married to the most wonderful man God ever created Gary. We have just bought our first home a year ago. We live in rural Ga. and our only dependent at home is one very spoiled feline named Sissy. :o)

I am a stay home wife due to disability, with RA, FMS,&CFS. But most of my life I worked as a Master Cosmetologist. I have always loved people and working in the public. I worked 16 years in this profession before I was forced to stop work due to illness.

When I stopped work I had to find something else to do with my time. I have always been a don't ever let the grass grow under your feet kinda gal, and the idle hours and being isolated from people drove me nuts. That's when my hubby agreed to buy us our first computer. I went online Thanksgiving eve of 97 not even knowing how to turn the thing on and wondering what pray tell was a browser! (giggle) Boy was I green! The ultimate newbie! So yes we all have to start somewhere. Come December one month later I was jumping into making a homepage. I had such wonderful help from some super CL's here in Heartland, and by February I was listed as Featured site.

It has been non stop since then. I have learned and grown and had lots of fun! I've met so many wonderful people and have met a few of them in person. I then decided I wanted to give back what was so freely given to me. So last year I joined the CL program. This has filled a void in my life and has now become my great passion. (Other than my wonderful hubby of course) I went off-line for a few months to get my disease under control and took down my original site. So I am just now getting going again. And starting from scratch! Boy am I ever glad to be back. I promise you the folks here are super and will help you however they can. That is why I decided to come back to the CL program. Ya gotta give back what has been freely given to you, and you will be blessed and find great joy!

The Heartland Busy Bee's Team is the best team around! I am proud to be a Heartland Busy Bee! We are truly a team working together, so in my opinion you've found the best Community Center and help in Heartland. Come by often and join in the fun and activities, or apply for the monthly award. We plan to always keep things new and fresh. These Busy Bee's are a fun group and laughter is my middle name, giggle. OH!
