I guess
to really get to know me, you would have to know a little about the faith
that I have. First and foremost, I allow God to have complete control of
my life. I have learned through the years that without him being
the number one on my list, I can do nothing, and I am nothing.
I have learned that God
made all men and we are all made in His image. So by saying that,
I believe that the heart is the most important part of man. Once
you get to know the heart of man and look for his good qualities, you have
found a friend, that possibly isn't too different from you.
I don't believe that
everyone is going to like me or approve of the way I believe, but that
is okay, for that is what makes each and everyone of us unique.
I was told a long time
ago by my wonderful grandmother as she was holding my first born, "Honey,
remember that this precious bundle is a gift from God. He knows you
will love her and take the best possible care of her that you can. Remember
that she doesn't belong to you, you are going to have to let go of her
so she can grow. Just always be there to pick her up when she falls and
needs you, just like your heavenly father is there for you". Those words,
I have tried to live by in just about everything in my life.
Yes, I have had some
very trying times, and I have cried during those times, but the most wonderful
part of those times were the fact, that I knew I wasn't alone. After each
of my trying times, I have come ahead a better person with more understanding.
And as I get older, I understand more and more of the importance of having
God in my life.
My prayer is that by
reading this, you will know me just a little better, and know too, that
you are never alone. Always look upward and forward, and you can make it,
but if you look downward and backwards, you will never get ahead. Please
go with God's wonderful blessing of his warm sunshine, and His protective
love.
