Thanks to two hardworking gentlemen, John Heaton and Ed Greene, we now have a list of cemeteries that have been video taped.

Contact John Heaton for details of how to obtain the video tape you need.

Please, do not ask John to take cemeteries from several tapes to make a custom tape for you. Countless hours have already been spent on this project and I believe it is more than generous of these 2 men to do the work they have already done.

The Tapes of these cemeteries may be viewed at the Watauga County Public Library
and will soon be available in the Appalachian Collection of the University Library at Appalachian State.

This concludes the Video taped Cemetery List as of March 1999.
Keep in mind that this is not a list of all the Cemeteries of Watauga County,
but rather a list of those that have been Video Taped.
John tells me there are over a hundred cemeteries yet to be taped.
As soon as those are ready they will be added to this list..
An extra hot summer (yes, even in Boone!) has made it difficult to get them done.
As soon as cooler weather comes they can get back out there.
