The First Glorious Mystery  - The Resurrection

  Jesus rises from the dead.
"At the first sign of dawn the went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared.  And all at once and angel of the Lord, descending from Heaven, came and rolled away the stone and sat on it. "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He is not here. He is risen from the dead.  Come and see the place where he lay.  And now he is going before you to Galilee; it is there you will see Him.'  And the women came out from the tomb filled with great awe and joy."  - Luke 24:1,6; Matt 28:2,5-8; Mk 16:8 John 11:25-26
Reflection:  O Lord Jesus, I thank and praise you for this Mystery of our Faith.  By your death and resurrection you have purchased for us eternal life in Heaven with you.
The Second Glorious Mystery  - The Ascension

Jesus ascends body and soul into heaven and is seated at the right hand of His Father

" '... you will receive the power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses throughout Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'  When he said this , as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.  While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them.  They said, 'Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky?  This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven."  - Acts 1:6-11
Reflection:  O Lord Jesus send your Holy Spirit down upon me so that I may be a competent witness for you.
The Third Glorious Mystery  - The Descent of The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit descends upon Mary and the Apostles filling them with the Spirit of God.

" When Pentecost day came around, they had all met in one room.  Suddenly they heard what sounded like a powerful wind from Heaven, the noise of which filled the entire house.  And something appeared to them that seemed like tongues of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them.  They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak about the marvels of God"  Acts 2:1-4,11
Reflection:  O Lord Jesus, teach us to look towards the Holy Spirit for strength and grace to follow you and bring more souls to heaven.
The Fourth Glorious Mystery  - The Assumption

Mary is assumed body and soul into heaven
" 'Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.' And Mary said: 'My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit exults in God my savior; because he has looked upon his lowly handmaid.  Yes from this day forward all generations will call me blessed, for the Almighty has done great things for me.' " Luke 1:45-48
Reflection:  O Lord Jesus, I look towards your most Blessed Mother for refuge and guidance.  Hear her pleas for us and show us your Divine mercy.
The Fifth Glorious Mystery  - The Coronation

Mary is crowned Queen of the Universe.

"  Now a great sign appeared in the heaven: a woman adorned in the sun.  She was standing on the moon with the twelve stars on her head for a crown" Rev 12:1
Reflection:  O Lord Jesus, I thank and praise you for the glorious gift of your most holy Mother, our Queen.
