Why we sing.

For the most part, our ministry includes outreach to families and individuals living in and around Denton. Some of our specific ministries include:

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Reaching out to an unchurched younger generation and teaching them the ways of Christ and the value of having a church family. Many children that have attended VBS have parents who do not go to church.

UNIVERSITY OUTREACH: This was once perhaps the main focus of our church. However, expenses caused the church to leave their original location (adjacent to the University of North Texas) and move to the North side of town. A movement is being made to start recruiting more college students. Denton is home to 5+ colleges, including University of North Texas and Texas Womens' University.

THE VINTAGE: Monthly, in cooperation with other churches in the area, we help provide a weekly program of church services for the elderly at The Vintage retirement home on Bonnie Brae Street. Hymns are sung, a sermon is preached, and fellowship is had, lead by our church, every fourth Sunday of each month.

PRAYER: The most important part of the christian experience. Our Tuesday night prayer meetings have availed many answered requests, as God continues to bless the people and the area we're in. We are always more than willing to bring any requests one may have before God as a congregation. We actively encourage members to provide requests in our Morning Worship Service as well. Also, prayer is not just a session to give God one's wish-list. It is a time to magnify the name of God, and praise His name and what He has done for us.

MUSIC: Our church is home to some very fine singers. Our hymns are always sung with enthusiasm and meaning-- Never a dull moment! Also, Mrs. Diana Johnson (our piano player and a music teacher by trade) is organizing a choir. Click Here if you would like more information.
