March 2001 update - "In 1997, we adopted Cooper (formerly known as Copper) from the BCBC. We wanted to update you on Cooper and his brother Hunter. We recently moved up to Shawnigan Lake and built a large home with 1 acre of fenced forest for Cooper and Hunter to play in all day. They love it and Cooper has even lost a little weight because of his new exercise area. Thank-you to everyone for giving us such a wonderful dog." MILES was about to be put down at the shelter when we got the call that he was there. We were able to locate his breeder through his tattoo, and from them we tracked down his original owner. Both were shocked to find that their sweet beagle had wound up in such a predicament, and very happy that we'd been there to rescue him and find him a wonderful new home.
This lucky dog is COOPER. It didn't take him long to find a comfy new home... JAKE (formerly Brandy) seems delighted with the happy turn his life has taken. This lovely lady is BAILEY! She went to work at Vancouver International Airport, where she had the distinction of being the first 'lady beagle' to sniff for a living.
