Another Brick in the Wall
Hi, My name is Teresa, AKA: Califgal. I am writing this to let you know about me, my life and family. My life really became real for me 13 years ago when I first met my husband, and my best friend. I met Michael through a computer dating service called "IDS". The day we met I told my roomate I was going to marry this wonderful guy. One year to the very day, we married. We were married in San Pedro on the Princess Louise, a ship in the harbor. The wedding was attended by all our closest friends and family. Since then a lot has happened.
One very sad part of my life began to happen one month after we were married, we found out I was going to have a baby, we were ecstatic, shortly afterwards I started getting morning sickness, that lasted all day long. But we were still happy, we had even picked out a name if the baby had been a boy we were going to name him Haven meaning a gift from god. But two months into the pregnancy I started miscarry, the doctor told me to go home and keep my feet up. doing this I thought I would save my baby, but that didn't happen, instead we lost the baby and I developed cancer. I am fine now, no more cancer.
But the reason I told you this is because, we have become foster parents in the last Four years, we have had over thirty children come through our home. Now we are in the process of trying to adopt the children we have now. James and Danielle, We love them so much, it actually hurts to think they may not become part of our family. James has been with us since he was 5 days old, that was on June 11, 1995. He is now 2 years old. Danielle came to us in January of this year. She is also 2 years old. The procedure to adopt is very long and it will be a while before we actually know if we can adopt them both. So please wish us luck.
