Hello! We are glad you stopped by for a visit.

Come in, sit down, get comfortable and let me tell you a little about us and show you a little of "our place".  My name is Lois and I am a Christian.  Jim and I live in upstate, northern New York just outside the village of Black River near Fort Drum, N.Y.  I was born in northern NY. I have one child, my son, Len. 

In June of 2004 Len married his soul mate, Diana.  Finally, I have a daughter! Len and Diana moved back to the area after college and since then we have been blessed with both a grandson, Elijah and a granddaughter, Moriah. Len is a fulltime Pastor at our church. Jim and I share our lives with; Missy, our mature Boxer girl who we got in January 2000 at our local SPCA and Gunner, our Boxer boy who we got in February 2005.  Missy was 2 years old when we got her. She is a "love sponge" and has added so much happiness to our lives.  Our boy,  Gunner, is our clown and like a typical young Boxer, he is always "in trouble"!  We love them both.  They are our kids now that Len has a family of his own.

We are just a short, scenic drive from the Saint Lawrence River and the fabulous Thousand Islands. While we may sound like a tourism ad for northern New York, we think our area is pretty special. While winters can seem long (and some times be treacherous) our Autumns are spectacular and our Springs and Summers are definitely worth it. (We think.) :-)

If you are looking for the perfect family vacation spot and you love fishing, swimming, water skiing, camping, and sight seeing this is the spot for you. Our area has great camp sites, cozy cottages and elegant summer homes.

An absolute "Must See" is the beautiful, romantic Boldt Castle on Heart Island off Alexandria Bay. This spectacular spot is our favorite place. We never get tired of visiting it each year. Even my son, Len, looks forward to spending a day wandering the castle and grounds each year.

Once you have visited Alex Bay, be sure to visit some of the other great river communities including Clayton, where Thousand Island Salad Dressing was first served, Cape Vincent, where you can take the Ferry to Canada, and historic Sackets Harbor, where you can see a reenactment of a land and river battle fought during the War of 1812.
