Feature of the Month: December 
Toong Chai Community on the Web 
Hi there, fellow Toong Chaians! This is our very own web site, serving the needs of our congregation and the Christian community at large as well as everyone out there on the Internet. Firstly, you would notice that it is bilingual (English and Chinese). Going bilingual helps us meet the needs of both English-speaking and Chinese-speaking people. The Internet is lacking in Chinese content so it is our desire to fill this gap, especially in the area of Christian influence.  

Our secondary aim is to tap the Internet's ability to broadcast our presence, easily, attractively and at low cost. Let's say you are looking for a church to attend. You can go to a Singapore search engine and look for a church that has a web site to find out more. Information about our worship services, pastoral staff, Shepherding Groups, ministries and geographical location can all be found in our web site.  

To better serve the Toong Chai community, anouncements will be regularly put up to supplement the weekly bulletin. Pastor Chan's pastoral letters will also be available for reviewing. You can also look for the personal email address of our church leaders. Leaders can now set up their very own ministry web page. Music Ministry and Training Ministry web pages are the first to be introduced.  

Two songbooks have been compiled, as a service to the Christian community at large. A MIDI hymnal for listening to your favorite hymns! Shepherding booklets based on book Bible studies will come soon! (11/98)

Malaysia 
Pray for the Anwar trial which is curently ongoing. Pray that justice will be both seen and done. Pray for restraint and sobriety exercised by police and protestors. 

Indonesia 
Pray for the followup on the Report on the May Riots that was released last week. Pray for determination to uphold justice among political leaders. 

India 
Pray for the Christians in India, that they will be able to find courage and wisdom as they face the current opposition from the Hindu militants and the government.
