villa de leyva The Espitia name is not very common, even in the Hispanic world. There are families in Northern Spain and in Colombia, which is where our family calls home, specifically in the area of Villa de Leyva, Boyacá.  Both Victor and Paola were born in Colombia; Paola is a rola, a native of Bogotá.  All of Victor's family still lives in the capital, but travels quite often to the campo to visit the finca

If you have any additional information about the Espitia clan, please drop us a line at our E-mail or by signing our Guestbook below.

Paola is back at school but not at the University of Delaware.  Look here to see where she is spending Winter Session.  It's a natural for the person who has spent three summers working at the National Aquarium in Baltimore and one summer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Victor's job still keeps him hopping and I'm busy as the Foreign Language Resource Teacher for Howard County Public Schools.   I'll be going to Washington, D.C. this year in April to present at the Northeast Conference.  My topic?--Not block scheduling this year, but designing a web page and Internet activities for the foreign language classroon.
