The Little Things
It isn't just the mighty things
that come once in a while
but the unexpected little things
that ease the weary smile
A cheery "hi" or "howdy do"
a friendly , smiling face
are just enough at many times
to help one win the race
It does not take a pot of gold
In fact, no wealth at all
Just give a little of yourself
you'll find you're twice as tall
No 'tis not just the mighty things
that make our lives worthwhile
but the kind and friendly deeds
proferred with a smile
How burdens would be lifted
and tensions cease to mount
if folks would just remember
