GRANNY'S

We were children of the 50's, teen-agers of the 60's, adults of the 70's and 80's and now in the 90's Grandmothers.

We have seen many changes in our life times, television came into every home when we were younger, we saw man walk on the moon for the first time, and now computers in many homes.

The world has gone from a very large remote entity to a very small thing intimate thing. Today with our pc's we can "talk" to folks anywhere in the world in a matter of seconds. Many of us don't understand the technology of it all but do not question such trivial things, we just use and enjoy it.

Now we are Grandmothers but we are not like the our Grandmothers. We have taken the best of both worlds and have combined them. Many of us are known to our grandchildren as "pooter Grandma." We still do the handicrafts that our Grandmothers taught us that we are teaching our grandchildren but we are also teaching them graphics, surfing, and homepage writing on the net.

As you surf though our sites you can see that our interests vary but we are all bound by a common bond, our grandchildren and Ladies of the Heart.

But Who Are We?
A Grandma Is Love
She's kindness with a cookie jar,
she's patience with a smile,
she's understanding sympathy,
and sweetness all the while.
She's someone we can count on
when we really need a friend,
someone who will plead our cause
and stand by to the end.

Borrowed from Sunny
Sunny's main purpose with her homepage is to address children's issues and child abuse.

Visit Walk's Softly's Home Page and learn about how to save the earth and all things on it, not just man.

Kathie's terrific page deals with ADD, child safety on the internet, Norwegian genealogy and awards that can be applied for.

Betty's homepages cover such things as panic attack support and some terrific graphics.

Debby's homepage includes Native American, a tribute to her Grandmother, Greyhound Pets of America, POW-MIA, family, friends, and holidays.

Carolyn's homepage includes angels, peace, and romance but probably what really caught my attention the most was a poem titled "Please Hear What I Am Not Saying." It is very thought provoking!

Juniper's page contains information about her family, has thoughts and links concerning domestic violence and child abuse, Quotes and poems, missing children.

Sandi, Catzmeow's homepage covers framily, friends, cats, but most importantly A Prayer Page.

Ruth's watercolor paintings are a must see. A place to curl up with a cup of tea and enjoy her angel messages which are there to bring hope and love to those that venture there.

Sonja's homepages include family, genealogy, graphics, and holidays but what I enjoyed the most was her page on gardening. Has some terrific information and links. Thanks, Sonja!

Marsha's Memorial Gardens are a wonder tribute to those who have gone on before us. What a great thing to offer all of us, her time and space on the net. Thank-you.

Angel's homepages are a great assortment of information about endangered species, their own pets, links to html helps, and java applets that she and her husband have created.

Linda not only grows orchids she tells others how to do it too. If you love beautiful orchids her page is the place to go. It is a huge site with lots of photos and information. No wonder she has been nicknamed The Orchid Lady.

Maggie's Vintage Cafe is a great place to come and relax. I enjoyed her Garden Room which has some great things about roses and a tribute to her Grandmother. Don't miss her Children'Room and Heart to Heart which has a couple learning poems.

Dottie'shomepage is a combination of angels, music, poetry, spiritual inspiration, friends and family. The word "Memiere" is French Canadian for Granny.

"Kathleen's page is very ecclectic. She has information and links for teachers, homemakers, kids, women, seniors, travel, North Carolina, Alaska, just to name a few. Go see for yourself." Thaine's homepage is a diamond in the rough. She is a super gal and will hopefully be adding to it as time goes on so we can all get to know her better.

Cheryl's homepages cover Las Vegas, ACOA & Las Vegas incest survivor, very important issues. The MBW Family is known for wedding pranks, redhead jokes, the Oh No A Bear Picture, the Very Breast Award, Colorado resident Marvin the Martian, Amaryzingrace's Tweety... Want a great place to go with you kiddo's? Try starting here, the list is enormous!
