Welcome to our little Home. Come on in and get to know us, our kids and especially our grandkids. If you want to see how this home got started take a look at the labors. Then I would like you to meet the head carpenter. Now don't be scared off yet. I will tell you the story of how we met and how the Lord saved us from a life of Hell. Yes Though we have gotten a little bigger around the edges and corners. We have gotten better. Thanks Be to the Lord Jesus Christ. More later. Stay tuned. See we all have those days... But I am sure glad that we have the Lord cause in him we are made perfect and whole. He loves us and that is what counts. One night back in '68 Marvin and Edie met at a dance. He was the most handsome guy she had ever met. They danced the night away. Even though there was alcohol involved the romance continued on. The Lord had plans for the two of them. The next date consisted of bowling and fun filled events. Only 3 short months down the road they decided to marry. As you might guess there was also a baby on the way. It's too bad we didn't get to know the Lord years before and come to know what joy there could have been in being pure and practicing abstinence, but like so many young kids today satan tells them that the thrill of sex and drinking is so much more fun then listening to the Lord. We married and started to play house. The marriage was a joke and not a funny one either. There was physical and mental abuse. Not any real love and it soon lead to sexual infidelity. That led to procedures of divorce. At the time it all looked like a marriage gone bad or started bad and needed to be put under. But as I said God had other plans. We were separated for only a few short months. And one lonely night we got back together. The next morning the youngest son had crawled into bed with us and when he woke up to find his daddy in bed beside him. He became over-joyed to see him and have his daddy back. The Lord was working hard on us at that point. We decided to get back together. We went to counseling with a minister and learned how to talk to each other. We were not told of the Lord at that time. Just how to communicate. In May. of '76 Edie was saved. ( that story to come later ) In Aug. of '76 Marvin was saved (That Story to come later also ). Thats where the marriage really started to become a marriage. There was three little boys by this time and all needing a real home. Edward 8, Christopher 6, and Brian 5. Each one of these guys are now married and providing the most wonderful grandkids in the world. You will get to meet all of the family later on another page so please come back often.
