Ambition Chapter 3

* At Brian and Nick’s house*

Brian was sitting on the couch and looking at the wall, thinking about Alicia. Kevin was at his girlfriend’s house, and AJ and Howie were gone to a friend’s party. Nick had stayed with Brian and they were watching a movie, when he asked: “Bri, don’t you think we should turn that off, it’s so boring....” Brian didn’t answer so Nick looked at him. “You look... awfull, man, what’s up with you?” This time, Brian looked up at Nick but again, said nothing. “Brian, come on, what’s wrong?” “I don’t know... Actually, I was thinking about Sam.” Samantha Richards. Nick knew just how much she had hurt his friend and he really hated her. They had been going out for about three years now and Brian didn’t knew half the things she had done behind his back and Nick had never told him. She used to be so nice when they met but being known because she was Brian’s girlfriend had gotten to her head. “What are you going to do about her?” “I’m going to tell her it’s over. I should have done this a long time ago Nick but I kept on thinking it would maybe get better. It didn’t. And I think that along the way, I just stopped loving her.” Nick nodded. “Why now Brian?” Brian took his time to answer. “Do you remember the reporter who did the interview with us two days ago? Her name was Alicia Crew.” “Yes, I remember. She was really nice and good looking.” Nick smiled. He hoped things would get better soon for his friend.

*Alicia’s appartment*

Alicia had arrived in Orlando 4 days ago and she already loved it. The only thing she really missed was her best friend, Sabrina, who lived in Québec. She was also crazy about the Backstreet Boys and particularly Nick. Alicia wrote her a long letter about her new life here and about meeting them. She told her just how much nice Brian was and that he was just has wonderful has she had imagined he would be. Alicia had always admired Brian and everyone knew that!

But just for Sab, she did a complete description of Nick and invited her over for her next long weekend. Sabrina was a year and a half younger than Alicia but she had always been very mature for her age.

She was so into writting that she jumped when the doorbell rang. Who could it be? No one knew she was here. “Hi Ali!” It was Justin Timberlake. She had been the lucky winner of a date with ‘N Sync two years ago and they had always remain very good friends. “Justy!” She hugged him very tight. “How are you?” “I’m find, except for the fact that my best friend moved to Orlando without even telling me!” He didn’t sounded angry, just happy to see her. “I just arrived 4 days ago and I’ve been so occupied with the appartment and the new job. I was going to call you... how did you find me?” “I simply called at your house to talk and your mom told me you were here and gave me the address. So here I am!” He smiled. “Do you want something to drink? Or to eat? What do you want to do?” she asked him. “Actually, I was in the mood to take you out! Do you want to go dancin’?” Alicia smiled. He hadn’t changed at all.

* Back to the boys’ house*

Brian was getting down the stairs, looking very good as always with his tommy pants and a new navy blue shirt. “Where are you going?” Nick asked him. “See Samantha.” He looked very determinated. “Do you know where she is?” “Probably at her favorite club.” “Good luck man!” “Thanks Frack. I’ll need it!”
