My name is Henrik. I was born on January 16, 1973 in Rostock. By that time Rostock was the capital of the county Rostock in the German Democratic Republic. As we all know the times were and are changing, so now Rostock is the biggest city in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the re-united Germany. I went to school  in Rostock. During my first year at the advanced secondary school the Berlin wall came down and Germany finally became one re-united country again.  The changed political situation allowed me to study economic informatics and economics at the University of Rostock, where I also achieved my doctorate degree. On December 1, 1999, I made a big decision for my life. I moved to the United States, to Florida to get married. My wife Marian was born and lived here all her life. Presently I am working as a Market Research Analyst for the American Automobile Association (AAA).
