Rostock is the town were I was born and is still the town
my heart hangs on. It was founded in 1218. In the middle ages Rostock was
an important member of the Hanse trade organization. While todays Rostock
has many modern suburbs, the architecture in the city center is still dominated
by Hanse style buildings. Nowadays there are 230,000 people living in Rostock.
I am not one of them anymore but I will always look forward to come back
for a visit.
