  • Tim Allen’s next film to premiere in theaters will most likely be Disney/Touchstone Pictures’s comedy Big Trouble. This movie, based on the novel by humor columnist Dave Barry, tells the tail of bomb-containing suitcase, which brings the most unlikely group of unrelated creatures living in Miami (and yes, I did say creatures—this suitcase affects a toad, a 13-foot python, and goats…loads of goats. Did I mention it was written by Dave Barry?). It also affects humans such as divorced father Eliot Arnold (Tim Allen), two police officers (Patrick Warburton and Janeane Garofalo), unhappy housewife Anna Herk (Rene Russo), her husband (Stanley Tucci) and teenage daughter (Zooey Deschanel).

This cast also includes Tom Sizemore, Omar Epps, Dennis Farina, Ben Foster, Brian Feldman, and Jason Lee. Also featured in lesser-role are the author himself Dave Barry, Johnny Knoxville, rapper Heavy D, and Colombian model Sofía Vergara. The screenplay is written by Robert Ramsey, Matthew Stone, and Barry Fanaro. The film is scheduled to be released this summer (most likely July) most likely rated PG-13.

Jonathan will most likely have his own primetime series next fall for FOX! It has been said that he will develop his own show under a six-figure deal. No word on if it will be sitcom or a drama, but if it was left up to Jonathan it would be the latter, according to insiders. The co-president of 20th Century Fox TV, Dana Walden, has said that Jonathan has “tremendous range. He's proven in his work on 'Home Improvement' and his new features that he can play both lighter and more dramatic roles.” Gail Berman, president of entertainment at Fox Broadcasting added, "It's great to be in business with an actor as talented as Jonathan. We think he has a very bright future."
