Here are the steps.
Please follow them closely to preserve the integrity of the ring!
Save a copy of the two Martial Arts Ring graphics you see below. DO NOT
reference them off someone else's server unless you've asked them for permission
first! They are called rings.gif on the left and the one on the
right next.gif.

Change the e-mail address and name so that it is your own.
Make sure the code above points to images on your own site. The
Webring "link", however, should still point to http://www.oocities.org/HotSprings/2833/webring.htm.
Fill out the below form to register your site. Note that this does not
insert you in the ring; it simply makes your page known to the WebRing
program and gives you a Site ID Number that you insert in the code
above where id=YOUR_SITE_ID_HERE. The actual insertion is done later,
after we have verified that the code on your site is correct.
Your page's title:
Your e-mail address:
Passphrase: (The passphrase allows you
to later add others to the ring. Do not forget it! If you have any
problems, e-mail me.)
After you have copied the
code above to your site's opening page, added your site id and email address,
your site should be ready to be inserted into the ring.
Below are a few helpful hints.
For example, if your site ID is 23, the href should be something like http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=marts&id=23&next.
E-mail the owner of an existing WebRing site and ask them to add you to
the ring. Be sure to include your Site ID Number. They will probably
(hopefully) want to look at your page to make sure it is worthy of addition
and make sure the WebRing HTML fragment on your page is okay.
After checking out your page, the existing WebRing site's owner will take
your Site ID Number and use it to add you to the ring. They should then
e-mail you telling you you've been added.
That's it! You should now be able to navigate the entire ring until to
make it back to your own page, although it may take a while later on as
more sites join. An easy way to make sure it is working is to go to the
homepage of the person who added you and see if the next button
takes you to your own page.
To add another site:
Once you are a member of The Martial Arts Ring, you have the power to add
other sites to the Ring as well.
Here's how to do it:
Type in their Site ID below and click Test.
Important tips
Our goal is to link all Martial Arts Pages around the world. If someone
e-mails you to ask to be added to the webring, be sure to check out thier
site before adding them and make sure it interesting enough to be a part
of The Martial Arts Ring!
If someone asks to be added to the ring, have them make the necessary changes
to their page, including all of the changes to the HTML fragment above
that are necessary (e-mail address, graphics, site ID number, etc.)
and check to see that they are correct before inserting them in
the ring. This will guarantee that the ring will function correctly, immediately.
