This web ring is dedicated to the health of lesbians and all other women who have sex with women. As a whole, this group has been greatly over-looked by the medical community. Members belonging to this web ring must show a commitment to lesbian health. This can be done in many ways. You could be a woman working to improve the health of lesbians through research or a medicl practice. You could have a page on some other random topic, but include some hotlinks to health-oriented sites on your page so that women visiting your site may go to one and learn more about her body.
This sounds interesting. How can I become a member?
Your site must touch on lesbian health in some way. Is your page about a certain disease, your queer-friendly medical practice or your use of healing herbs? Please join and bring more lesbians to your sites.
As mentioned above, promoting women's health issues to lesbians IS lesbian health. Have you had a bad experience with a homophobic health care provider that you would like to share with others and help to raise awareness about how often this happens? Do you have a wonderful and supportive doctor who you are comfortable being out with? Tell us about that, too. More positive stories are needed. Even put on your page somewhere about your sports injury from when you played lacrosse in college.
Ok. From this list I think you get the idea. I want lesbians to think about their health. We can start by working health issues into what pages we already have.
A Few Rules
Racist, heterosexist and other hate pages will not be added to the ring. I guess that should go without saying tho'.
OK, SO HOW DO I PUT IT ON MY PAGE?
Here is the code that will be mailed to you. It looks a lot scarier than it really is. You can copy it here and fix it up for your page or wait for the email which requires a LOT less customization.
