WHO IS SCANNON

Hi! my name is John, I grew in sounthern Idaho where I graduated from high school in 1959. I joined the Navy the same year and spent the next 20 years there, I retired as a Senior Chief in 1979.

I spent the next several years in Washington state working a different jobs and also went back to college for a few years while I was there. It was while I was there that I met my wonderful wife.

In 1990 I moved back to Idaho and started constructin on the house my wife & I live in now, and just like pages on the Web, it is constantly under construction.

I work full time as a dispatcher and detention officer for our county sheriff's department, and also volunteer with the Gibbonsville Quick Response Unit up where our house is and also volunteer with the Salmon EMT'S here in Salmon, which operates the local ambulance service. I live about 30 miles north of Salmon so when on call with the ambulance I have to spend my day hanging out in the shed, as we are on a 5 minute call response.

I am a NREMT-I, or what we here in Idaho call a "Advanced Ambulance EMT". I am also a EMT instructor as well as a CPR instructor with the American Heart Association. I recently took the EMD course from Medical Priorities Consultants and am a certified EMD.
