Domo Arigatou for taking time out to read my TetsuxHyde fic. It's been around since 1998 which means it's 5 years old now!! Can you believe it? Well, for it's 5 year anniversary I revised it for the FINAL time...tying up loose ends and clarifying things that didn't make sense in the beginning. No other website has this newly revised fiction except pook's site, REINCARNATION and I think this will be it's permanent home. So please keep coming back here to check for updates!

I have been on a haitus from writing fiction for about 3 years now and this TetsuxHyde fic has been on the backburner. I want to thank each and everyone of you that took the time to write me encouraging e-mails about this story and urging me to finish it. I know I didn't even reply to most of you for the past couple years, but I want to tell you thank you and I will finally continue to complete this saga for 2004!! You all have waited long enough. (and it's about time Laruku got back together too, ne?!!)

In the meantime, please re-read the story...since I made some changes it might even be better than when you first read it...I hope!! And like I mentioned before, this story is purely fictional. I just used some real facts about the band and twisted them around a little. Hahaha... Just for us adamant TetsuxHyde fans!!

The story takes place in 1998, just after the first part of their LIGHT MY FIRE TOUR ended. The members took a three week vacation to rest and do whatever they want. But little did they know this vacation would start something that would change all their lives, especially Hyde and Tetsu's. Even though they lead their own separate lives, they still have a deep connection to one another. Hidden feelings start surfacing and memories of the past start haunting them. Will these feelings finally bring them together and show them their destiny? Is their relationship really meant to be or is it just a door back into their past?

- Part 2 -

 

Tetsu couldn’t believe he was now in the hospital. Hyde fainted again shortly after he gained consciousness in the bathroom, so Tetsu had no choice but to call the ambulance. He was now surrounded by the scary white walls of the hospital, not able to see Hyde since they rushed him to the Intensive Care Unit. The smell of sickness was in the air, he could hear both adults and children crying down the hall and disillusioned patients walking back and forth with smocks and IV’s stuck in their arms. This was not the place he wanted to be at right now. He always had a small phobia for hospitals...

Tetsu shifted around in his seat, fumbling with his glasses and his hat. This was the worst disguise he has ever worn, but he had no time to worry about the media catching him here. He looked around and saw a number of people sitting around and waiting like he was. They all carried the same worried look on their faces...waiting... He was here since four a.m. and it was already close to nine a.m. He still hadn’t heard any news on Haido’s condition. Suddenly a tall skinny gaijin doctor entered the room and proceeded towards Tetsu.

“Are you the friend of Takarai Hideto?”
“Hai.” Tetsu said as he stood up. This was the first time he ever encountered someone who didn’t know who he was at first sight, nor made an exciting comment about Hyde. His Japanese was surprisingly good for a gaijin.
“It seems your friend had too much to drink last night...” The doctor said as he fumbled through a thick file that had the name TAKARAI HIDETO plastered on it. His skinny hands were jotting down various notes as little drops of sweat were forming at his temples.

“Will he be okay?! Is he alright?!!” Tetsu started to feel nauseous as he saw the doctor’s serious expression.
“It was a very close call...” The doctor began, “Takarai-san could’ve met death if you hadn’t called emergency.”
The hairs on Tetsu’s neck were starting to stand up, “He....could’ve died?” Tetsu said barely audible.
The doctor flipped through the file and nodded his head.
“According to the notes and previous exams... Takarai-san’s body is not at all capable of handling large amounts of alcohol. It can easily kill him. Were you aware of this?”
“No....I did not know that.” Tetsu said as he eyed the doctor, surprised at what he just heard. What in the world was going on anyway?! What was wrong with Hyde?!

“By looking at our tests, Takarai-san has not been eating properly the past few days, he has had an enormous lack of sleep and his stress level is pretty high. Do you know why this might seem so?”

Tetsu was confused. What the hell was this all about? Hyde not eating, not sleeping, an overload of stress...? Tetsu didn’t know what was going on and felt bad he didn’t since that could only mean he was neglecting Hyde. “I....I really don’t know. This is the first time I’m hearing this.”

The doctor scratched the back of his head with his pen, “Even though this was mainly caused by alcohol poisoning, Takarai-san has not been taking the stress medication we prescribed to him.... Has anything been bothering him lately or has he been overworking himself to the point where he couldn’t handle it?”

“Not that I recall...except for this recent excessive drinking habit, I haven’t seen him do anything to overwork himself...”

The doctor was again jotting something down on paper. He sighed and closed the folder., “Thank you.”

“Cho....Chotto matte kudasai!” Tetsu told the doctor who was about to turn away and leave, “Is Hyde okay?”
“Truthfully, there’s no telling yet.” The doctor replied, “It might take a couple of days until he regains complete consciousness... so I think you should just go on home and we’ll call you as soon as we know his condition.”
Tetsu felt kind of hurt that the doctor was telling him to just go on home. How can he go home after something like this? He wanted to know what was wrong with Hyde. He wanted to know that Hyde was going to be OK.
“Can...I at least see him before I go?” Tetsu pleaded. The doctor shook his head...
“I’m sorry, but I cannot let anyone enter the room at this time.” The doctor then went back through the emergency doors and disappeared down the hall.

Tetsu sighed as he dropped himself back down on his chair, rubbing his face in disbelief. Why the hell was this happening?? Why did Hyde purposely do this to himself? What drove Hyde this far into hurting his own self? Tetsu’s chest started to feel heavy and the tears started to fall from his eyes. What could’ve happened if Hyde didn’t call Tetsu to pick him up? That is what scared Tetsu the most. If Tetsu didn’t find Hyde in the bathroom in time, Hyde really could’ve died. This thought made Tetsu break into an uncontrollable sob. He knew everyone in the room was probably looking at him, but he could care less. He just wanted to see Hyde again...

“Tetsu....” A voice suddenly said. Tetsu felt somebody putting their arm around him. He looked up and saw Ken.
“Ken-Chan!” Tetsu cried as he hugged Ken tightly, “I don’t know what’s wrong with Hyde!!!”
Ken-Chan hugged Tetsu back feeling terrible seeing his friend so distressed. He couldn’t believe what was happening either.
“I called the hospital just as soon as I heard the news of an ambulance arriving at your complex early this morning.... I rushed over as fast as I could...”
“Oh Ken-Chan.... I don’t know why Hyde did this to himself... The doctor said it was alcohol poisoning and that Hyde knew his body was not capable of taking in large amounts of liquor. But Hyde still did it!”
“God....that baka Hyde... first his smoking incident, then this...” Ken shook his head disappointed. A couple of years before Ken had to rush Hyde to the hospital because something was wrong with his lungs due to his heavy menthol and chain smoking. The doctor informed them that Hyde’s body was not capable of heavy smoking due to that fact that Hyde has always had a slight case of bronchitis. But Hyde still continued his smoking habit, even after being informed.

“Is everything OK?!?!?!!” Another person entered the room panicked. It was Yukihiro, “I came here as fast as I could! My car was in the shop so I had to ask my neighbor to drop me off!”
Tetsu looked up at Yukihiro and saw that the drummer brought along with him a goodie basket, flowers, balloons, and everything. It made him smile a bit.
“Man Yukki... I didn’t know you’d bring a whole picnic for all of us! I’m starved!” Ken said while examining all the presents.
“Hey, this is for Hyde! Hands off Ken-Chan!” Yukki said as he playfully hit Ken’s hands away.
The three Laruku members finally started to laugh together, but it didn’t last very long. They were all very worried about Hyde and wanted to know what was happening with their friend.

Hyde slowly opened his eyes. His body ached tremendously as he tried to move. He saw that he was surrounded by a bunch of machines and he had an oxygen mask on his face. There were IV’s stuck in his arms and his head was wrapped tightly with a bandage. He was in the hospital... What happened? The last thing he remembered was being in the bathroom with Tetsu, after that, he blanked out. He also remembered that he was about to tell Tetsu that he loved him... did he do it? This bothered Hyde.... Where was Tetsu anyway? Hyde couldn’t stand lying there, so he forced himself up and took the oxygen mask off. By doing that it caused him to cough uncontrollably. His lungs hurt like hell as the air in the room quickly circulated through them.

He saw a nurse walk by and stare at him with a scared look on her face as she ran down the hall. Hyde ignored her and started to take the IV’s out of his arms. He wanted to go back to Tetsu.
“Sir! What are you doing?!” The gaijin doctor yelled as he entered the room. Hyde looked up at him and continued to take off all the tubes from his body. The doctor and a team of nurses were all forcing Hyde to lay back down and Hyde tried to fight against them.
“NO!! NO!! You can’t make me stay here!! I have to go back to Tetsu! Let go of ME!!!!” Hyde was trying to wrestle them off but the pain was surging through his body and he eventually gave up. “Why am I here?!!” Hyde demanded.
“You put yourself here Takarai-san.” The doctor said as he injected a syringe into Hyde’s arm, “It seems you haven’t been taking care of yourself again... You could’ve died if it wasn’t for your friend who immediately called the ambulance after you collapsed in the bathroom.”

So that’s what happened... Hyde must’ve fainted just before he was to tell Tetsu his feelings. How scared Tetsu must’ve felt! How could he do this to him? And the selfishness of hurting his own self just to get Tetsu’s attention... Tetsu must think he is a real fool now. Hyde felt a lot of guilt building inside him. He couldn’t believe what happened and how out of hand it got. His original plan was to get drunk enough to have the courage to tell Tetsu how much he loved him. At least if he was turned down, Tetsu wouldn’t take his confession seriously since he would be drunk. But instead, Hyde over drank for various reasons and the whole plan turned out to be this... Hyde wanted to see Tetsu so badly that it started to hurt more than his actual pain. He wanted Tetsu to know that he was alright... He wanted to apologize and tell Tetsu how sorry he was for putting him in this position...

I...I want to go...home...” Hyde sighed. His eyesight was starting to blur again as he was looking at all the doctors and nurses inserting all the tubes back where they belonged. He was feeling so sleepy.
“Please...let me see Tetsu...onegai....onegai.....”

Yukki quietly drummed his fingers on a nearby table as Ken was drinking a can of juice and flipping through a magazine. Two hours had passed and still no news on Hyde’s condition. Tetsu stayed in the same position, looking down at the floor. He hadn’t said a word since then. Most people that were in the room earlier were already gone. It was only the three of them sitting there.
“Aren’t they gonna tell us ANYTHING?!” Ken said annoyed as he stood up and stretched.
“Usually not...” Yukki sighed, “They wait till the worst situation comes up, THEN they tell us...”
Tetsu rubbed his eyes...he was so tired of being worried and not knowing anything.
“You two don’t really have to stay if you don’t want to...” Tetsu finally spoke.
Ken and Yukki looked at each other and then looked at Tetsu.
“No, we want to stay... Hyde is much more important right now!”

The gaijin doctor finally entered the room again still holding the file. Ken, Yukki and Tetsu all stood up, eager to know the news.
“Takarai-san gained consciousness, but we had to put him back to sleep because he was trying to harm himself.”
The three band members couldn’t believe what they were hearing... Hyde was trying to hurt himself? What was going through Hyde’s mind to do such a thing?
“So, is he okay? I mean, it’s nothing too serious, right?” Ken asked the doctor.
“We can’t really tell. His body is really beat up right now and it needs a lot of rest before we can see what is really the matter. We did find some traces of phnemonia in his body since he was exposed to the cold weather.”
“Phnemonia?! Isn’t that serious?!” Yukki asked.
“Yes, but we can prevent it from getting worse if we keep Takarai-san in the hospital for awhile.”
“Did...did he say anything when he was conscious?” Tetsu asked curiously.
“He did mention that he wanted to see someone named Tetsu and that he wanted to go home...”
“He’s Tetsu!!” Ken pointed to Tetsu.
“Oh... Do you have a close relationship to Takarai-san? He kept saying your name. He seemed like he really needed to see you.”
Yukki and Ken both looked at Tetsu waiting for an answer. Tetsu looked surprised to hear that Hyde asked for him out of all people. A part of him felt relieved that Hyde remembered him.
“Can...Can I see him, please?” Tetsu begged.

The doctor looked like he was about to say no, until Ken interrupted him.
“Oh, Doctor!! Tetsu is Hideto’s lover!! How can they bear not seeing one another after this tragic event? How can you be so cruel to tear two lovers apart like this? Especially when they are both begging and suffering?!”

Tetsu couldn’t believe what Ken was saying... He looked at Ken bewildered, wondering why the hell Ken was telling such a lie to the doctor. But just then Ken quickly winked at Tetsu as to say, ‘It’s a joke, just play along with it, baka!!’

Tetsu finally got the idea and put on his best crying act. He could’ve sworn he saw the doctor starting to soften up...
“See! Look at him!! You need to let him see Hideto before he has a nervous breakdown!! I mean, you let the wives see their sick husbands, so why can’t you let a poor guy see his ail boyfriend?!!!”
The doctor had a pathetic sorry look on his face as he glanced at Ken, then at Tetsu....

“Well... I don’t see situations like this everyday...” The doctor said, “So I guess I can let you see him for a little while.”
Ken had a mischievous grin on his face as he looked at Tetsu... his trick worked! Tetsu felt a breath of relief when he finally saw the doctor give in.
“But I can only let Tetsu in... you two have to stay out here.” The doctor said to Ken and Yukki.
“That’s fine with us... We just want to see them happy!” Ken was really rubbing it in and Yukki was about to burst out laughing. The doctor really believed this pathetic lie. It was so funny.

The doctor motioned Tetsu to follow him and Yukki went ahead and handed Tetsu all the presents he brought.
Ken whispered into Tetsu’s ear; “Heehee...sorry Techan for threatening your ego but, you gotta do what you gotta do to get your way! The doc’s a FRUIT, I met him the last time!! Tried to make a move on me, ne!”
Tetsu looked at Ken surprised... Ken was just too smart. Tetsu wanted to laugh but all he could do is smile.
“Ne...tell Hyde to fight hard!” Ken said aloud.
“Yeah, tell him we’re counting on him to pull through!!” Yukki said as he patted Tetsu on the arm. Tetsu nodded and followed the doctor down the hall, leaving the two band members standing there laughing quietly amongst themselves.

“All of you guys are in a band, yeah?” The doctor asked.
“Um, yeah...” Tetsu nodded, “We’re L’Arc~en~Ciel...”
“Sou desuka... I heard a few of your songs on the radio...” the doctor smiled, “Though I prefer GLAY, my boyfriend loves your music!”
“Oh...” Tetsu replied, making a face at the doctor’s music taste.
“So, how long has your relationship with Hideto been?”
“Uh...a long time...” Tetsu said, wondering why the doctor was so nosy, “But...whatever you heard from Ken, please don’t tell anyone... For personal and public reasons...”
“Don’t worry!” The doctor laughed, “Everything said in this hospital is confidential, especially my patient’s affairs!”
“Thanks...” Tetsu sighed.

The doctor gave the thick file to a nurse and picked up a few other clipboards that were on top of the counter. He skimmed through them before he proceeded to take Tetsu deeper into the ICU unit.
“There’s so many patients...” The doctor shook his head, “But I’ll be sure to see that Hideto has enough care so he will be up and well.”
“I’m really worried about him...” Tetsu said, “I’ve never felt so scared in my life....”
“I can understand how you feel...” The doctor replied, “I can see clearly how much you care about him.. If anything happened to my lover, I’d go ballistic, too!” The doctor turned and smiled at Tetsu as they turned a corner through the hallway.

All around them were glass windows everywhere so you can see the patients clearly just by walking past. They finally reached the room which was located at the end of the hall. Tetsu froze as he saw Hyde’s helpless body laying there amongst many tubes and machines. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
“It’s alright...” the doctor said kindly, “these machines are equipped to help us keep track of how Hideto is progressing. This contraption right here puts clean oxygen into his body and this tube right here feeds him, since he refuses to feed himself.”

Tetsu entered the room reluctantly and put all the presents on a nearby chair. He slowly approached Hyde and just stared at him. Water was again building up in his eyes. He had never seen Hyde this way, and wished he never had. This was just too much for one day... The doctor patted Tetsu gently on the back and left the room. Tetsu was now alone there with Hyde and the only noise in between them were the constant beeping of the machines.

“Oh Hyde!” Tetsu moaned. He sat near Hyde’s bedside and grabbed his hand, which was surprisingly warm, “Why did you do this, huh?”
So many thoughts were going through Tetsu’s brain. He was wondering why Hyde never told him about his health problems since they were practically best friends. Maybe Hyde was too embarrassed or maybe something really drove him to harm himself.

Putting this whole situation in perspective, Tetsu had never felt this concerned and crazy for anyone in his whole life. He thought over what the doctor had said; “I can see clearly how much you care about him..” It was like he and Hyde really were lovers. He couldn’t imagine what he would do if Hyde was suddenly taken away from him. It was already killing him seeing Hyde this way. Suddenly Tetsu started to have flashbacks as he was staring at Hyde’s soft hand, gently stroking his fingers...

Deep down inside he always wished Hyde was a girl, then he wouldn’t have felt so evil for falling in love with him years ago. Ever since he knew Hyde during their indies days, he always thought that Hyde was the most beautiful human being he’d ever laid eyes on. Tetsu was one of many who thought Hyde was a female when he first met him. He couldn’t believe God made this male look like such a beautiful female. It wasn’t fair... he couldn’t love this person because he was the same gender as he was. Tetsu grew up learning that a male belonged with a female and that was it.

During the crucial years when Laruku was becoming more and more known, Tetsu was terribly attracted to Hyde. Sometimes he would cry himself to sleep thinking he was going nuts and would find himself only dating girls who would resemble Hyde one way or another. He also thought Hyde wouldn’t be interested in him anyway since Hyde was only dating girls at the time too. Until he saw that Hyde had a strong attraction to their new drummer Sakura, Tetsu learned that Hyde _was_ interested in guys. A part of him felt so happy and wanted to sweep Hyde right off his feet, but against Sakura, Tetsu was no competition... Sakura was so manly and sexy, no wonder Hyde was so attracted to him. Besides, many people and fans would say that Hyde and Sakura looked like cute lovers while Tetsu and Hyde looked so much like twin sisters. Tetsu felt silent anger as he heard this over and over again, but he still had hope that one day Hyde would notice his love for him too.

But when he accidentally walked in on Hyde and Sakura kissing passionately before a concert, his heart turned into glass and shattered at the very sight of it. It hurt him so much that he made himself sick and had the concert delayed for a month due to his recovery. He then decided that it wasn’t worth trying to go after Hyde... that these feelings he had for Hyde were just selfish and evil. By the time Sakura left the band, Tetsu swore never to fall for Hyde ever again even though it hurt to see Hyde so heartbroken and lonely. Tetsu tried his best to comfort him without falling in love with him, which was very difficult. So Tetsu decided to start dating girls again and not spend so much of his time and attention on Hyde anymore. He never told a soul this and never planned to. But after all the events that happened today, everything was just coming back to haunt him and his feelings were coming down hard.

He looked at Hyde’s angelic face under the oxygen mask. He was sleeping there peacefully, breathing in the fresh air. Tetsu gently stroked Hyde’s soft blonde hair. Did the pictures he see on his mirror mean anything? At first Tetsu brushed it off, but now he was really thinking about it. Did Hyde really care about him that much? Did Hyde love him? And what was Hyde trying to tell him last night before he passed out? Was it in his mind or was Hyde going to tell Tetsu that he loved him?

Tetsu couldn’t believe that these thoughts were actually going on in his head. He wanted them to stop. It wasn’t right to think this way about his best friend who was already experiencing near death. But he couldn’t help it. It was driving him mad, like how he felt years ago when he desperately wanted Hyde by his side. Did Hyde feel the same? Or did Hyde still see Tetsu as his ‘twin sister’? Part of him was scared to think that Hyde was drinking because he missed Sakura.... That Hyde wanted to harm himself because he was too lonely... If that was the true case, Tetsu wanted to be there for Hyde again. He wanted to take care of him and love him the way Hyde deserves to be loved... but is this still possible?

Hyde suddenly moved a bit, the expression on his sleeping face looked as if he was about to wake up. Tetsu couldn’t believe it.
“Hyde!” Tetsu said under his breath, he held Hyde’s hand tighter as he saw Hyde’s eyes slowly open. It took Hyde awhile to figure out who the person was that was sitting by his side. His sight was still a little blurry.

“Te...Tetsu?”

Tetsu was about to break down and cry after hearing this. He was so overjoyed that Hyde was conscience again and even had a smile under his oxygen mask.

“Na....naka...naide...”

Hyde was trying to talk, but the drug they injected in him was so strong his speaking ability was a bit slurred. He saw Tetsu trying to hold back his tears, but they came out anyway.

“Haido.... I was so worried about you....! I really thought you were gonna die and leave me!”

Hyde was so happy to see Tetsu near his side, but sad to see him so scared. He wanted to say a million things to Tetsu but he felt so exhausted and the oxygen mask was in the way. The only response he could give was a shake of the head to tell Tetsu he was never going to leave him and an OK sign with his other hand to tell him he was going to be alright. Tetsu’s tears were now tears of happiness as he was now looking at Hyde.

“I still have to make you that ramen and the little stubborn snowball is waiting for you too, ne!”

Hyde smiled again and put his hand on Tetsu’s face.

“A-ri-ga-to... Te-chan...” Hyde slowly said as he looked Tetsu in the eyes and smiled. Tetsu put his hand on top of Hyde’s and smiled back.

“You’re such a brat!” Tetsu laughed.

The doctor finally came back and told Tetsu that it was time to go. Tetsu nodded and started to get his stuff. Hyde couldn’t remember anything else because he fell asleep again... his mind filled with thoughts of Tetsu.

***A WEEK AND A HALF LATER***

Tetsu unlatched the door to his apartment and let Hyde inside. Hyde was released from the hospital finally and received strict orders to watch his health from now on. Tetsu volunteered to keep a close eye on Hyde for a couple of weeks until Hyde’s tests show that he can go back to his normal routine. Hyde slowly walked in as his cat ran towards him.

“Waaaaa~!! Kitty!!!!” He grabbed the cat and cuddled it near his face, “I missed you, ne!!! I was thinking about you the whole time!! You’re so kawaii~!!!! Mmmmmmmmm!!!” Hyde gave the cat a little kiss and set it down. He saw that Tetsu was taking great care of it. Cat toys were seen everywhere and he even bought expensive cat food just to feed it.

“I hope the kitten wasn’t too much trouble to take care of....” Hyde said as he picked up a catnip mouse.
“Of course not!” Tetsu laughed, “We kept each other great company... I must admit he had quite an appetite though!”
“Yeah.... I can tell...” Hyde smiled, looking at how much the kitten did grow in a week.
“Are you happy to be back?” Tetsu asked, smiling at his short friend.
“Mochiron!! Anywhere besides that hospital, I’d be happy as hell!”
Tetsu laughed at Hyde’s remark and set the rest of Hyde’s belongings in the house. Hyde took off his shoes and headed toward the couch, comfortably laying on the soft leather seats.
“I am so exhausted.... are you Techan?”
“Yeah...a little bit. Not as exhausted as when you were at the hospital though.”

That was right, Tetsu was at the hospital almost every single day, spending days watching Hyde lay there and sometimes spending nights sleeping on those uncomfortable chairs. What hell that must have been... Hyde felt really selfish.

“Let me cook for you tonight Techan!” Hyde suddenly said.
“HUH?” Tetsu turned around looking at Hyde who was excitedly approaching the kitchen.
“I wanna cook for you... it’s the least I can do for all that you did for me...”
Tetsu was kind of speechless. Hyde never did such a thing for him before. It was rather cute and flattering!
“Sure...but it better be good because I’m picky!” Tetsu said teasing. Hyde looked at him and stuck his tongue out. Oh, how Tetsu missed that devilish expression!

“HA! I’m a _much_ better cook than you... so watch out!!” Hyde was now putting an apron on and taking all the pots and pans out. He was so glad to be back at Tetsu’s.... _This_ is what he wanted. It was the doctor’s orders for Tetsu to watch over him carefully the next couple of weeks, so everything was nearly perfect!! It shouldn’t be any problem for Hyde to admit his feelings to Tetsu now.

“Arrrghhh....” Tetsu moaned as he stretched his arms up. He was so sore from this past week. He spent most of his nights sleeping on chairs, that his back was killing him. Hyde looked back from his cooking and ran over to Tetsu.

“Daijoubu?” Hyde asked, his cute worried face looking up at Tetsu.
“A-re?” Tetsu looked back at Hyde, still stretching, “I’m okay...just really sore, ne!”
“Let me give you a massage!!” Hyde said as he led Tetsu to the living room.
Oh no, it’s okay... you can go back to your cooking.”
“Iya iya iya....let me!! The cooking can wait awhile. You need to relax or you won’t be able to enjoy my cooking!!” Hyde made Tetsu sit on the floor as Hyde sat behind him and started digging his fingers into Tetsu’s sore back.
“AAA~!! Itaiiii~~!!!!” Tetsu yelped as Hyde was massaging his shoulder blades.
“A-re?? You are _such_ a weakling Techan! How can this hurt?!”
“Aaaaackkk...you’re doing it too hard, ne! Soften up!”
“It will take longer that way! Here...lay down! I know what can help...”
Tetsu looked back at Hyde with a doubtful face, “What are you gonna do?”
“Just wait and see! Lay on your stomach!”

Tetsu obeyed and laid down. Suddenly he felt Hyde’s foot on his back...

“Aiieeeee~!!” Tetsu buried his head into his arms, “It hurts! It hurts!!!”
“BAKA!!” Hyde laughed, “I haven’t even _stepped_ on you yet!”
“I know...but it’s...GONNA HURT!”
“I guess I’ll just go to plan two.”
“Which is _what_?!”
“I’ll be right back!” Hyde said as he got up and ran to the room. He came back shortly with a small cylindrical container.
“What is THAT, Haido?”
“Oh... I found it in your bathroom ne! Didn’t you know you had this? It’s relaxing massaging oil!” Hyde had a mischievous grin on his face that Tetsu could not ignore.
“I hope you use that correctly!” Tetsu said, pretending to be serious as he lifted his shirt up.
“You’re such a hentai!!” Hyde snapped back laughing as he opened the container and put some oil on Tetsu’s exposed back. He started massaging Tetsu’s soft white back slowly...rubbing in circles, then concentrated on the sore areas by applying light pressure. Tetsu couldn’t help but admit that this felt really good...no one has ever massaged him this good... it was almost sensual. A small embarrassing moan escaped Tetsu’s mouth. Hyde smiled at this and continued rubbing Tetsu’s back... the oil making it really slippery and hot.

Tetsu closed his eyes, enjoying the luxurious massage. Hyde kept staring at his back...he noticed that Tetsu was now really relaxed and was actually enjoying this. Hyde smiled again. He didn’t want to only touch Tetsu’s back this way... he wanted to explore all of the bassist’s beautiful body.

He managed to get Tetsu to take his whole shirt off and sit back up. Hyde’s fingers were now concentrating on Tetsu’s slender neck. Tetsu really thought he entered dreamland now... His body felt so relaxed that he just wanted to collapse on the floor and sleep. Suddenly he felt a weird sensation behind his ear. Hyde was so close that Tetsu could feel his warm breath. Tetsu actually liked the sensation and said nothing, but then he felt Hyde’s soft lips brush against his neck lightly, traveling across his back. This surprised Tetsu, but he didn’t bother to stop it. He didn’t know what he wanted at this moment. Everything just felt so good.

Hyde couldn’t help but want to kiss Tetsu’s body. Tetsu seemed ready for it since Hyde didn’t sense any reluctance. Tetsu was actually softening up more as Hyde was kissing his back very slowly. His breathing also started to slowly speed up as Hyde put his arms around him and his oil soaked hands softly caressed the bassist’s chest. Tetsu then found himself laying on the ground with Hyde on top of him... His soft pink lips gently kissing Tetsu’s chest and neck. Hyde’s mind was already off somewhere... the scent of Tetsu’s oil slicked skin was filling his nostrils and making him want to do more. He finally felt Tetsu’s hands at his head, forcing him down to his soft neck. Hyde gladly went there and kissed the delicate skin he found there. His tongue was slowly circling Tetsu’s pale skin and the sensation was so unexplainable. Tetsu’s mind had completely wandered off until he finally opened his eyes and saw what was happening. What the hell was he doing? Why was he on the floor with Hyde? Why was he letting Hyde do this to him? Just as Hyde’s kisses were traveling lower and lower down Tetsu’s chest, the bassist suddenly shrieked;

“Hyde...Hyde...STOP IT!”
This startled Hyde and he looked up and Tetsu who was now sitting up and heaving. His face was bright red. Hyde was bewildered as he looked at Tetsu. Tetsu looked so scared again and the sweat was coming down his face.
“Sorry....I...I just can’t do.... this Hyde. You’re not....a girl...”

Hyde had some sense knocked back into him after hearing this. He felt so ashamed. Why did he do this to Tetsu?! Why was he being selfish again? Hyde tried to say something, but he was speechless. All he could do was look down at the floor.

Tetsu saw Hyde’s sorry expression and felt bad. He knew that he was giving Hyde the wrong signals and it wasn’t Hyde’s fault. Hyde was only doing it because he thought it pleased Tetsu. It really did, but Tetsu just couldn’t let it continue. He knew it was wrong. Hyde looked up at Tetsu again and brushed his yellow hair out of his face. He was expecting Tetsu to yell at him and kick him out, but Tetsu said nothing. He was putting his shirt back on and he actually smiled at Hyde.

“We almost got carried away there, ne!” Tetsu said softly. Hyde knew that Tetsu was trying hard to get things back to normal again.
“Yeah....” Hyde said as he stood up.
“Say, do you want to go out to eat instead? I’m starved!”
“Sure, but can we change first?
“Of course! And maybe I can call Ken and Yukki to join us... They’ve been wanting to see you again.”

Hyde smiled at Tetsu’s kindness....but what just happened was still running through his head. Did Tetsu actually have feelings for him too? Not just any guy would let another man touch him that way... and not just any guy would let it easily pass off like that. Hyde was confused. Tetsu already left for the shower, leaving Hyde there alone in the quiet room. Hyde sat himself down on the couch and tried to think things over. What was happening?

The hot water from the showerhead hit Tetsu’s body while he just stood there looking at the tile. He couldn’t believe what just happened between he and Hyde. While it was happening, Tetsu wanted it to happen. All the old feelings were coming back as Hyde was kissing his body....never before had he thought Hyde would do this to him... It felt so good and so right. But if he let it continue, what would the outcome be afterwards? Will the same feelings be there or would they both regret it? Tetsu was confused. Part of him wanted to love Hyde so badly while the other part constantly reminded him about his promise to himself that he will not fall for Hyde and he will not have any relationship with another male... it was wrong.

But then again, how can he prevent something from happening between them if he was given the responsibility to watch Hyde closely these next couple weeks? It was going to be difficult. Should he start dating girls again or maybe try to work things out with Kaori? So many things were rushing through his brain again. All the thoughts he felt as he saw Hyde laying there in the hospital were coming back. The ones where he wanted to help and love Hyde so badly that it hurt inside. What did he really want?

He finally had Hyde all to himself... why was he backing away?
