After a few years all was forgotten. Hyde had decided that it was better to
forget about Sakura?s mistake, after all ? it was a mistake. None of them worked
at the little restaurant anymore and nothing had happened between Hyde and Tetsu
for ages. Hyde thought that Tetsu didn?t like him anymore. He had cut his hair
short whilst Tetsu grew his long. Hyde and Tetsu still lived together, but in
separate rooms. They were usually so tired after a days work that they both
wandered off to their bedrooms with a simple ?night? to send them on their way.
Hyde wanted so much for Tetsu to kiss him. They still talked to each other and
had the same amount of fun ? making sure to include Sakura in it also. Ken was
happy with a cigarette and his lighter - although he would usually add a joke
here and there to brighten everyone?s day.
It was on one of these exceptionally boring days that they were all in the
studio again waiting for Sakura. After two hours of waiting Sakura finally came.
?Where?ve you been?? Tetsu asked in his leader voice.
?Talking manager . . .? Sakura mumbled.
?Ooooooh, who?s been a naughty Neanderthal!? Ken joked. Hyde giggled and
waggled his finger infront of Sakura?s nose. He went and sat down at a table.
?Where are your ?sticks?? Tetsu asked, coming and sitting opposite him.
?Dunno, hey guys. I need to talk seriously to you all for a second . . . ?
Sakura said, raising his voice so Ken and Hyde came over.
?What?s up mate?? Ken asked, puffing out a plume of smoke.
?I?ve . . . I?ve been asked to leave the band.? He said. Ken dropped his
cigarette and Hyde?s mouth fell open.
?W-what!? Why!?? Tetsu shouted.
?Ask the guys at SONY. I?m going, and if they get their way I won?t be coming
back.? Sakura said, standing up and walking out. The rest of the band stood
there flabbergasted.
Fifteen minutes later the recording manager arrived. He came in smiling
happily. As soon as he saw the faces though his large smile disappeared.
?What?s wrong? Why the long faces?? He asked, walking over to the recording
area.
?Everything!? Hyde murmured, holding his head in his hands.
?Why?? The man asked, walking over and looking at Tetsu as if asking ?what the
hell??
?Don?t ask, you?ll find out soon anyway.? Ken said, looking up from tuning his
guitar. He seemed perfectly calm but Tetsu could see his worried eyes.
?Oh, okay. Sorry.? He apologised, shrugging.
?We won?t be recording today. Can we reschedule?? Tetsu asked. He knew that
being manager he had to keep a strong head, and besides ? everyone else seeming
like the walking wounded.
?Yeah, I guess so. Come ? we?ll arrange something.? And with that the recording
man and Tetsu walked over to the recording area and started to talk about
possible dates.
A week later Sakura gave his leaving speech on live television. He was very
calm and said sorry to all of the fans.
?I?m talking to all the fans of Laruku today because I have been asked to leave
the band.? There was a loud murmur from the crowd of reporters.
?I was arrested for obtaining drugs and now I am paying the consequences. I am
very sorry to all the fans, hopefully Laruku is going to be finding a new
drummer so they will still be carrying on.? Sakura held his head low and felt
the tears welling up in his eyes.
?Sakura! Sakura! When is a new band member going to be joining?? One reporter
asked, holding a note pad and scribbling down notes.
?No comment.? Sakura said, he walked off the small platform.
Tetsu was standing in the doorway of the small room. He was looking at Hyde and
smiling sadly. Hyde had taken the news of Sakura leaving very badly, the drummer
and he had become very close friends. Tetsu didn?t know about Sakura?s
attraction to Hyde, and Hyde had always thought that Tetsu would go mental if he
knew.
Hyde had his back to Tetsu, he was sketching. Hyde wasn?t quite sure what he
was drawing, he was crying soundlessly and the tears were blurring his vision.
He had simply felt a need to draw, but he didn?t know what or whom he was
drawing. The pencil he held drew thick lines on the yellow paper, he wiped his
eyes and put the pencil down. He had finished. Hyde cleared his vision and
stared blankly at the picture ? it was Tetsu. The lines were slightly wavy and
the picture wasn?t perfect. But it was definatly Tetsu.
?Oh God, Tet-chan I miss you . . . Come back to me, kiss me again. Why don?t
you love me?? Hyde whispered to the drawing.
Tetsu stood, frozen in the doorway watching his Hyde. His heart ached for him.
He knew Hyde had forgotten about him. They were both so distant now ? and yet so
close. They were just friends it seemed though. There was nothing between them ?
Tetsu wanted there to be so much. A big tear rolled down his cheek. He sniffed
quietly and wiped it away.
?I need you, I need you so much. I love you Haido. Please, please tell me you
love me!? Tetsu thought.
Hyde looked at the picture, Tetsu was so polite to him now. Not like he used to
be. They still shared a flat together but they didn?t sleep in the same bed;
watch films together or even talk that much. Tetsu always seemed so tired when
they got home, even on their tour he had seemed so distant. Hyde thought it was
better to just say goodnight and go to the room Tetsu had had refurbished for
him. He would lie away thinking of Tetsu, and then he would think: -
?He hates me, he thinks I?m ugly and stupid.? And he would cry his eyes out and
want to go to Tetsu and tell him all his feelings. But he knew Tetsu would scoff
and tell him that they had nothing and that it was just a mistake he had kissed
him those times. Hyde thought of all this and started to rip the picture up.
?He hates me . . . He hates me . . . He hates me, ? Hyde kept thinking. He got
up and walked slowly out of the room.
Tetsu watched his Bishounen walk out. He saw the paper on the desk and walked
over to it. He picked up the pieces of ripped up paper and began to put them
together. When he saw the full sketch he nearly cried out in misery. A picture
of him! But Hyde had ripped it up, it must mean that he didn?t love him. Tetsu
fell to his knees holding the pieces of the drawing. He cried out as he felt his
heart breaking.
?No . . . Haido, please . . . ? Tetsu sobbed, holding the paper to his heart.
?I ? I ? I need you, I love you!? Tetsu was talking as if he was talking to
Hyde. The tears streamed down his cheeks, he held his head in his hands and
cried loudly. ?Haido, Haido, please. Don?t do this to me . . . Please.? He
choked. He touched his long hair and pulled at it viciously. He had grown it out
because of Hyde. He had suggested that he would look good with long hair.
Getting up and running to the kitchen, Tetsu grabbed a large carving knife. He
hacked at the beautiful hair and cried abundantly. He couldn?t stop. When his
hair was short he staggered to his bedroom and looked at himself in the mirror.
His crying only grew as he saw his face. He looked awful! His hair was all
jagged, some parts were longer and some were shorter than his shoulders. He
leant on the mirror and cried.
