Hyde woke up the next morning, he blinked and groaned. The sunlight from the
window beside his bed was open and a cool breeze touched his face. He sat up,
rubbing his eyes. He wondered what had awoken him. Then he heard the doorbell
ring. He climbed sleepily out of bed and wandered to the front door. His blue
pyjamas made him look like a little boy and he stretched as he opened the door.
?Konnichiwa Haido.? Ken stood smiling on the doorstep. He looked at Hyde?s face
and a puzzled look came across his face.
?What?? Hyde asked, touching his face. Ken continued to stare. ?What?s wrong,
is there something on my face?? Hyde asked, feeling around his chin. Ken?s eyes
opened wide and he gasped in shock. ?What!? What!?? Hyde yelled, running to the
mirror by the door. There was nothing wrong. ?He he he, made ya look!? Ken
walked in and ruffled the vocalist?s hair. ?Where?s sleepy head Tet-chan then??
Ken aksed, flumping onto the leather couch. Hyde shrugged, remembering the night
before.
?Dunno, still in bed I think. Hey do you want some tea?? Hyde asked, changing
the subject quickly. Ken nodded and picked up a magazine from the coffee table.
Hyde walked into the kitchen leaving Ken to read.
About three minutes later there was a loud smash and then Hyde?s voice.
?OH MY GOD!!? He screamed. Ken jumped up, dropping the magazine and running
into the kitchen.
?What!? What!? Wha- OH MY GOD! TETSU!? He yelled, looking at the bassist?s
hair. A broken teapot lay on the floor. Tetsu stood in the doorway of his room
and looked at them both. He covered his face and slammed the door.
Tetsu sunk to the ground. He sobbed into his hands and thought of Hyde?s
horrified face. He knew what he must have been thinking ? ?Ergh! Tetsu already
looked ugly but now he?s like a beast!?. This thought made Tetsu cry louder.
There was a knock on his door and he jumped.
?Tet-Tet-chan?? Hyde?s small voice called.
?Go away!? Tetsu hollered. ?Leave me alone!?
?Tet-chan please, open the door.? Hyde soothed.
?No! You?ll just laugh at me!? He cried. He leant harder on the door.
?I won?t, I promise. You can hit me if I do. I promise.? Hyde said. Tetsu
gulped, he would never hit his angel Hyde. He stood up shakily and opened the
door. Hyde stood there, Tetsu wanted to run and hide from him but he didn?t.
Hyde walked in and closed the door behind himself. Tetsu walked over to the bed
and sat covering his face with his long fingers. The tears leaked from his eyes
like a tap that hadn?t been shut off properly. He felt so inferior to this short
man right then. Tetsu felt Hyde?s hand on his shoulder, this made his shudder.
?He doesn?t want me to touch him . . . ? Hyde thought sadly and withdrew his
hand. He knelt down infront of Tetsu and pulled away his hands. Tetsu?s face was
streaming with tears, they were still gushing from his handsome eyes even then.
?Why?? Hyde asked softly. He held one of Tetsu?s hands in his small one.
?I ? I can?t say . . . ? Tetsu cried, pulling away his hand and covering his
face again.
?Tet-chan, let me see.? Hyde said, laying a hand on the taller man?s knee.
Again Tetsu shuddered at the man?s touch, it wasn?t that he didn?t want Hyde to
touch him ? but that he hadn?t in such a long time that he was scared of him.
Slowly Tetsu took away his hands. Hyde looked at the damage and smiled slightly.
?He?s laughing at me!? Tetsu thought.
?Stop it! Stop laughing!? He wailed. Hyde looked at the man?s face.
?I?m not laughing! I?m smiling because your hair can be easily fixed. It?s
going to be fine ? please don?t cry anymore.
?But I look so ugly!? Tetsu bought up one of his hands and covered half his
face. Hyde took it away and held it tightly.
?No, no you don?t . . . ? He comforted. Hyde smiled and kissed Tetsu?s hand.
Just then there was a knock at the door. Hyde let go and Tetsu?s hand
reluctantly and stood up.
?Hai?? He called. Ken poked his head inside the door.
?How is everything?? He asked seriously.
?Good, all is calm now.? Hyde smiled and then looked back at Tetsu. ?Right
Tet-chan?? He asked. Tetsu nodded, savouring the light kiss.
?Good. Tet-chan?? Ken smiled mischievously.
?Uh-huh?? Tetsu answered shyly.
?You?re a bassist not a hairdresser.? Ken laughed loudly. Tetsu?s face dropped
slightly, but he couldn?t help laughing.
?HEY! Ken-chan! That was mean!? Hyde pointed out. Then his face lit up. ?Hey,
that means you can hit him now Tet-chan ? he laughed a you!? Hyde was pointing
at Ken.
?Oh yeah! Arigato Haido!? Tetsu jumped up and ran after Ken.
