Henk de Vries' Daimler Double Six Coupe
Page Two: The Interior Photographs
On this page are featured
the interior pictures of my car; this page will feature shots from other
Double Six Coupes as they hopefully come in.
After taking care of the basic automobile, I proceeded
with renovating the dash wood, and , while going about with that, ended
up replacing most of the aluminum faceplates and ski slopes with lustrous
timber.. (thank you AutoStyle, for providing much higher quality than the
original!)
and the aluminium tresholds were replaced by shiny
stainless steel, courtesy The Finishing Touch.
Carpets were replaced (slightly lighter color than
original) and trimmed with leather piping by Telstar.
Nice, isn't it?
Note all-leather (very high quality US "Spinneybeck" brand) seats and insides;
vinyl black under windows is still original.
Steering wheel is period original Moto-Lita (the inset center piece has been replaced with one with "Daimler" logo: thanx Moto-Lita!); wood dash and other surround
very beautiful quality by AutoStyle: check them out at the Jag-Lovers site
The very seventies British Leyland control center..
This was MUCH nicer in the series one XJ models; but OK, I guess it goes
with the car..
