The 15,007,034th Beetle came off the production line on February 17th, making it the most produced car ever, overtaking the legendary Ford Model T, which had been produced between 1908 and 1927. However, unlike the Ford, there seemed to be no end in sight for the Beetle. The car enjoyed huge popularity worldwide, and was already a legend.
