I can't think of anything that would be fitting for this, other than what else could you expect from us Daytona folks? Oh, yeah, it cost him over $100,000 (not a typo) to build from scratch. Some more views of it are available HERE and HERE |
Believe it or not, I took this pic and the one of the other end (found here) at a NISSAN dealership in Daytona! Weird, huh? |
Nothing original but the sheetmetal. Even eyelids for the taillights! Bad@$$! Owner's name unavailable. |
This is what the European version of my Superbeetle looks like. Beatiful shade of blue, isn't it? |
It was created by Volkswagen to commemorate its passing the record sales mark set by the Model T almost 70 years earlier. A look at the other end of it is here! I took a photo (not a digital one) of my Baja Champion SE Edition Beetle in front of my parents' former house near Daytona Beach. Look at that shiny paint... |
These pics were submitted by Uncle Frank and is a view of just one of dozens of cars he has or is creating! The other pics are HERE and HERE! Thanks for the submissions Uncle Frank! |
Notice that engine. It may not look like much to the common passerby, but just wait 'til that light above you turns green. Woohoo! Now you can visit Uncle Frank's Hot Dog Hall of Fame Page! |

This is a photo taken by the creative genious at KustomCity who attended the event in Las Vegas. Pretty trick wouldn't you say? |
No Owner's name available, but more views of this wonder are HERE and HERE |
Unless you're not a VW fan or just haven't made your way out from under a rock until just recently, you have no doubt heard about or seen this car. Quite a lot of work went into the oversized lobster that goes from bumper-to-bumper on this eye-catching marketing masterpiece. You can also see what the lobster's tail looks like in this rear photo. Great work, fellas! |
It is a moderately-modified Beetle with some interesting Pepsi graphics and some kewl lights on the front-end. His website has more interesting articles/photos, too. |
A very informative article about this beautiful and functional New-Beetle-based multi-purpose vehicle! |
Interesting theme for the New Beetle. I bet it'll tear-up those sand dunes! |
Rumor has it this monster is a combo of a '74 Bug convertible and a Toyota chassis. Hope they've beefed-up the engine a little... |
This is one consistent wheelie-maker! It's owned by a guy in Chicago. Lucky man! |
This is a view of the perfectly restored "Erkel" car as BMW meant for it to be! Also, here's a front-side view! This is what the car above and to the left looked like before having a VW motor crammed in the back. This is a 100-pt. resto, too. Very nice! |
