Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Maida (all purpose flour)
3/4 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar)
1 tbsp cocoa powder OR 4-8 crushed cardamoms
1/2 cup cashewnut bits OR 1/2 cup almond bits
1 cup ghee (clarified butter) OR 2 sticks butter, melted

Method
Warm the ghee a little bit before using.
Combine together the maida, besan and the baking soda.
To this slowly add the ghee, cashewnut(almond) bits,
cocoa powder(crushed cardammom) and the sugar.
Mix well.
Make small flat rounds of the mixture.
Grease a cookie tray with some butter and place the rounds
on it.
Bake in a moderate oven at 160 deg F for about 20-25 minutes.
The narainkatars are done when the tops start cracking.
Remove and cool.
These can be stored in airtight jars for a very long time.
