R. Beckwith | Posted 20-09-1998 Dear Geocat, Being Australian, I was particularly interested to see your reviews of Australian Chocolates, and in particular, Arnott's Tim Tams. There is a way of eating Tim Tams which you may not know about. It's gross, but quite an experience, and it's called a "Tim Tam Slam". I don't know whether or not this only occurs in Australia. You carefully nibble the coating of both ends of a Tim Tam. Then you use the Tim Tam like a straw, to suck up some hot coffee. When the coffee reaches the mouth, you know the biscuit is saturated. Keeping the Tim Tam in your mouth, remove the other end from the coffee, then SLAM the saturated Tim Tam wholly in your mouth, using the palm of your hand. Then chew, slurp, whatever. You can substitute hot chocolate, Milo or similar, for the coffee. |
