PERNIGOTTI'S LUNA STELLE (Italy)
"Bravissimo!" This is a fabulous box of chocolates from Italy which is definitely 'heaven sent'. The dark chocolate moons encase a rich chocolate truffle centre and the milk chocolate stars hold a delicious crushed hazelnut praline filling within it. A must for those nights when one chocolate is just not enough!
RATING:
NESTLE'S ORANGE KIT KAT - Limited Edition (Australia)
If you love Kit Kats, you will definitely love this 'limited edition' orange version of an old favourite. The orange flavoured milk chocolate coating of these wafer fingers definitely give a new kick to this snack. So next time you have a break...try the new "Orange Kit Kat".
RATING:
CADBURY'S TOFFLE BAR (Australia)
If you like something with a little bit of texture to your chocolate or if you love 'Almond Rocha'....go for a 'Toffle Bar'. This scrumptious snack is definitely one to try for those times when you want the taste sensation of a crunchy almond toffee bar coated in delicious milk chocolate...at an affordable price.
RATING:
MARS' SONNET (Australia)
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Just imagine slipping a morsel of milk chocolate into your mouth only to bite into it and discovering a delicious, soft, smooth malt cream filling in it. A taste sensation to get any person going!
RATING:
CADBURY'S HONEY NOUGAT CHOCOLATE BLOCK (Australia)
Just like "Cadbury's Swiss Chalet" but with a bit extra thrown in. Enjoy the chewy texture of this milk chocolate and nougat concoction which has coconut shavings thrown in for a new taste sensation.
RATING:
CADBURY'S CHOC SHOCKS (Australia)
Milk chocolate which explodes in your mouth. A must for those who want a bit of 'spark' in their chocolate *grin*.
RATING:
KIM'S CHOCOLATES - MILK CHOCOLATE CACHET BAR (Belgium)
Just imagine delicious Belgian milk chocolate with a crunchy hazelnut filling and you have the Cachet Bar. Scrumptious and Kosher too! Perfect for any religion.
RATING:
CADBURY'S CRAVE BAR (Australia)
Mmmmmmmmmmmm. This is a chocolate bar which will have your mouth watering. Imagine a bed of milk chocolate (full of air bubbles), topped with a thick covering of smooth caramel and totally enrobed in a milk chocolate shell. That sums up the Crave Bar. It's the bubbles of nothing that makes this chocolate something and the caramel just launches this chocolate bar into a whole new dimension. Try it today.
RATING:
COULSON'S MACADAMIA & ALMOND - CHOCOLATE COATED NUTS (Australia)
The key to delicious chocolate coated nuts is to use good quality chocolate as shown by these delightful morsels. I am happy to say that these chockies definely use high quality milk chocolate which has a smooth texture and great taste. Not only that, a portion of all sales of these chocolates go towards the 'KOALA HOSPITAL' at the 'KOALA PARK SANCTUARY', Sydney, Australia.
RATING:
TERRY'S MOONLIGHT SELECTION (United Kingdom)
Whether you eat these chockies by 'moonlight' or eat them in the sunshine, you are guaranteed to have a scrumptious time. Terry's brings to you a delightful selection of milk and dark chocolates which you are certain to enjoy. Chocolates produced 'by appointment to her majesty the Queen' are definitely fit for a queen....or anyone else for that matter.
RATING:
CADBURY'S HIP CHOCOLATE BAR (Australia)
'Great things come in small packages'.
Two varieties of 'Hip' bar are available. One variety is a rich, soft, vanilla nougat bar smothered in dark 'Old Gold' chocolate AND the other variety is a soft, nutty, hazelnut nougat bar enrobed in creamy milk chocolate. Both varieties DEFINITELY get my thumbs up with approval! :)
RATING:
CADBURY'S "FREDDO JELLY" CHOCOLATE (Australia)
Here is my current fave chocolate and the newest creation from Cadbury in Australia. Milk chocolate surrounds delicious, gooey jelly centres such as pine lime, mixed berry, orange, raspberry, strawberry and tropical. You can buy the family block (250g) or buy individual Freddo Frogs at your local shop.
RATING:
PERUGINA'S MAITRE CONFISEUR (Italy)
This is EXCELLENT chocolate with every variety in this box a winner. Beautiful smooth assorted bittersweet, milk, white and gianduja chocolate in varieties such as Raspberry, Strawberry, Whole Almond, Whole Hazelnuts, Hazelnut Creme, Truffle, Nougat, Almond Creme, Truffle and Gianduia. It is hard to pick a favorite from this selection. However, the Truffle (a dark chocolate fudgy centre surrounded by white chocolate with dark chocolate lattice work) must be high up on the list as its taste is reminiscent of chocolate mud cake. The soft nougat creme wrapped in dark chocolate is to be highly commended also.
RATING:
WHITMAN'S NUT SAMPLER (USA)
This is great chocolate from a family which has been making chocolate since the turn of the century. The nut sampler consists of milk chocolate with pieces of almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts and peanuts in it. There is a hint of a malt taste in these chocolates which gives it an interesting flavour.
RATING:
WITOR'S BOERI - Cherry liqueur chocolates (Italy)
This consists of the standard dark chocolate with cherry liqueur and marachino cherry filling. It's nice, however the filling is nicer than the chocolate in this case. Try it today if you like alcoholic chocolates.
RATING:
NESTLE'S 101 DALMATIONS CHOCOLATE (Australia)
For a chocolate which basically exists to promote a new film, this is actually quite decent confectionery. The candy covered milk chocolate drops in white chocolate add an interesting texture to the chocolate as well as solves the problem of how to make chocolate reminiscent of a dalmation.
RATING:
CADBURY'S SWISS CHALET CHOCOLATE (Australia)
How wonderful! This is a fabulous block of dairy milk chocolate with flakes of chewy nougat mixed through it. This chocolate is great for any time of the day and a personal favorite.
RATING:
CANDY LANE'S CHOCOLATE ASSORTMENT (Australia)
I found this selection of hard and soft centred dairy milk chocolates too sweet for me. However I found the fillings to be satisfactory. Try these for yourself as you may enjoy them more than I did.
RATING:
HARD ROCK CAFE
CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
This is a superb, rich, chocolate
brownie served warm with vanilla ice cream and smothered in thick, gooey,
chocolate fudge sauce. This is definitely one to try as the brownie is
not too sweet, has a light, yet moist texture and is complimented perfectly
by the sauce and ice cream. This definitely gets my paw print of approval!
RATING:
CADBURY MARBLE
CHOCOLATE (Australia)
Imagine a creamy chocolate filling
encased in a swirling shell of milk and white chocolate. That sums up Cadbury's
Marble Chocolate pretty well. Try this yummy experience for yourself.
RATING:
ARNOTT'S DARK CHOCOLATE
TIM TAMS (Australia)
Two scrummy
chocolate biscuits with a chocolate cream
filling and enrobed in rich, dark chocolate is my idea of heavenly bliss!
These Tim Tams make the perfect treat for afternoon tea OR any other time
for that matter. This definitely gets my paw print of approval!
