Mullu Murukku
(Also known as Muthusaram)

Ingredients :  Rice Flour(1 cup), 1 tblspn Moong dal, 1 tsp channa dal, a pinch of asaefoetida powder, 1 tsp sesame seeds, 2 tblspn butter, salt as required.Also required, oil to fry

To Grind:
Soak the moong dal and the chana daal for an hour. Grind it into a very smooth paste. When ground, this paste should be easy to roll like a ball.
In a mixing bowl, mix together this paste, rice flour, asaefoetida, sesame seeds, butter and salt.
Sprinkle water as you go along.
Mix the flour into a fairly soft consistency.
Take a handful of this flour and stuff it into the "Thenkozhal press".
The Thenkozhal press has five different plates normally. Use the single star plate for this dish.

Frying:
Press the flour out of the 'thengozhal press' making small circles in the oil.
Fry till golden brown.

Optional : You can add chilli powder when mixing the batter.
