This is such a delicious dish. I make it 3-4 times a month. It is a pretty dish of green and red colors.

1 lb. beef or lamb cut into 1/2 inch cubes

3 Tbsp. Olive oil

1 lg. onion - chop fine

1 can white kidney beans

2 lb. green beans - fresh or frozen

1 can tomatoes - mashed

1/4 cup tomato paste

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)

1/2 - tsp. pepper (or to taste)

1 1/2 cups water (or more if too dry)

      Method

      1. Cut or break green beans into @ 2 inch lengths.

      2. In pot saute meat in oil until meat is browned. Add chopped onion and saute 2-3 minutes. Add beans, stir well. Add water, cover and cook @ 1 hr.

      3. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper and cinnamon. Cook @ 15 minutes.

      Serve upon a bed or lebanese style rice.
