Hank Maifeld 1961 - 1984

After graduating from Elder High School in Cincinnati, Ohio I worked for about two and a half years as a maintenance man on AMF pinspotters at two different Bowling Establishments in the Greater Cincinnati area. Toward the end of 1960 my brother Larry and I decided that we were going to enlist together and join the Air Force.

However, I wanted to finish the current bowling season as I was maintaining some pretty high averages at the time and Larry wanted to join right then, which is what happened. I enlisted in the Air Force in April of 1961 in Covington, Kentucky and flew to Basic Training in Texas.
