One day wen the babies were ten days ole and still 'adn't opened their mince pies, a lady came ter see Windy and 'er babies and fell in luv wiv one of the bleedin' wee fellas. She decided ter name 'im Errol. He were turnin' into a right beautiful mink-coloured Berkshire rat, right, wiv a white tummy and a white line under 'is chin that 'ave a looked like a wee zip fastener.

As Errol got older, he started ter discover the world outside 'is 'ome and went on an adventure. I'll get out me spoons. Windy decided that she wanted ter make a new nest for 'er babies and took them all oray ter a new 'ome. Windy told 'er babies that they must all stay togevver in the bleedin' new nest because there were all sorts of dangers for wee rats, but Errol wanted ter explore 'is new surroundings and sneaked oray ter set off all by 'imself. He travelled far and wide and seen a bit of new and excitin' fings but 'is family were right worried about 'im and went ter 'ave a look for 'im. After searchin' 'igh and low they eventually found Errol far oray from 'ome and took 'im hammer and tack to 'is bruvvers and sisters. Errol were 'appy ter see them all again, right, but 'e'd seen the bloomin' world outside 'is 'ome and wanted more of its excitement.

Wen Errol were two and an 'alf weeks old, the lady came ter see 'im again ter tell 'im all about 'is new 'ome. He would be gonna live in a big, pink palace wiv a bit of shelves and ladders ter climb on and toys ter play wiv. He would also 'ave two luvverly new muckers called Max and Alfie. Errol were right excited and couldn't wait until 'e were six weeks ole and were ole enough ter move ter this wonnerful new place.

Windy and 'er family went ter live wiv all 'er lady chinas wen Errol and 'is bruvvers and sisters were four weeks old. They 'ad a wonderful time runnin' round their new 'ome togevver and 'avin' fun messing wiv all the bloomin' big rats, right, but Errol yearned ter see more of wot the rest of the chuffin' world 'ad ter offer. He would 'ave a look out at all the excitin' fings 'e 'ad seen on 'is travels and sigh.

One day, one of the big rats whispered in Errol's ear that she knew of a way that 'e could cop out and explore again, init? That evenin', wen no-one else were 'ave a lookin', she lead Errol ter the top floor of their 'ouse. She pushed up the chuffin' roof ter show Errol 'ow 'e could wriggle out. Errol were right excited as 'e knew that this were the chuffin' moment that 'e could escape and seek 'is fortune in the bloomin' big, right, wide world outside. His mate pushed up the roof again and Errol put 'is loaf of bread and arms into the gap. His mucker tried 'ard ter hold up the roof but she weren't strong enough. As Errol wriggled under the roof, right, his mate couldn't 'old it up anymore and she let go. The roof snapped dahn and Errol were trapped! Struth! 'is mate tried desparately ter pull 'im free but it were too late and poor wee Errol were dead.
