PEBBLES' STORY
Pebbles was born in Summerfield Florida to Sera and Buddy Bo.  She had a litter mate, BamBam and he lives in North Carollina.  Pebbles was 12 weeks old when she went to live with an elderly couple in Ocala, Florida.  They had recently lost their bt of 13 years..  We felt this was a perfect match for each of them.  Well, three days later the couple calls my friend up and says they are not too sure they can handle her.  They bring her back.  Lou calls me as ask if I might be interested; I say, it would depend on if my two would get along with her.  So I go after work and pick her up to spend the night at my house.  Snorts and Bruzer were curious at first but then they got along very well.  I brought her back to Lou on my way to work the next day and told him had to talk to hubby and think it over.  Well, that day, the couple call back in tears, they have to have her back.  I told Lou, to let them have her back  it was fine with me and perhaps meant to be and that she must not be the one for me..  Pebbles yoyo'd back and forth between them and Lou two more times and finally, the grand daughter assured Lou that she would keep Pebbles should her grandparents not be able to.  Life went on and it apeared all was well.  I also had found my little boston through a great on line friend.  A little Brown and White Runt and we have named her Pebbles to fit in with our homepage theme..

On the 17th of October I get a call from the elderly couple, as Lou has moved to New York.  She asked me if I wanted Pebbles and I mentioned we had already gotten one, but would take her and find a good home.  She was really adament that if we found a home we did not SELL her.  I assured her that is not what I was all about..  I would not sell her. I told her I had to do some checking and would be back in touch.  I had sent out a few emails to some folks i knew.  Then i get another call, and she is wanting to know if I want her as they are moving to Ohio and can not take her and if I did not take her they were going to have her put to sleep!!!!   Right then I told her I would come and get her!!!

I picked Pebbles up that Monday after work.  She is a very loving puppy and full of puppy energy and playfulness.  Snorts gets along with her fine so she will adjust well to home with bt..  I had been talking to a friend in SD about her and she mentioned a mutual friend Gwen, in Michigan, was looking for one and she had told her about Pebbles.  Well, after a few phone calls and emails and chatting on line, Pebble will be going to Michigan to Gwen and her Hubby Jon and be a little sister to Duke and Rambo.

It is a
GREAT feeling to be a part of saving a Boston.   Pebbles will be joining her new family around the first week of November.  The middle of November we will be getting our ittle brown and white Boston.

Some folks may ask, Why did we not keep her?  I firmly believe one will know when a boston is right for them.  I firmly believe it was meant for Pebbles to be going to Gwen.  The Lord works in strange and sometimes unexplained ways.  I
know she will be loved very much..

13 Nov- Pebbles hitched a ride from Smokey the Bt Trucker on I95 in Daytonna.  She is on here way to Gwen in Michigan.  We had been trying to find  a way to get Pebbles to Gwen.  I had gone to the rescue section of BIC and was just scanning when i saw a post about willing to transport BTs.I sent an email asking if they came this far south(Ocala, FL) Friday afternoon I had an email from Cheryl, Smokey's wife; he was in Miami!!!  She gave me his cell phone number and after numerous calls back and forth we connected with him on Saturday.  He even had gone out of his line of duty to call several Waffle Houses to let me know he was running late; my hat goes off to Cheryl and Smokey;
They sure gave Pouty Pebbles a happy ending...  I can not say enough about how GREAT they both are and it is obvious they are Boston Lovers!!!   ""
THANK YOU CHERYL and SMOKEY!!!""
